This is so tragic but my chronic injury has returned and I’m thinking about deferring my spot for next year (did the 9+1 in 2025 for the 2026 marathon). How do i go about deferring? Anything I should know about doing this? Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone- my current nyrr best pace is 8:40 and I’m running the NYC marathon this year. Couple questions:

1. Anyone with this pace last year, what wave were you put in?

2. If i want to be in waves 3 or 4, what should i look to improve my pace to? I’m doing the percy sutton 5k and wondering what my goal time should be
