Advice on Approximate Quote

Hi all, I’m looking for for a bit of insight on quoting this job. I owned a painting business for 7 years just north of Toronto but stepped away from it 4 years ago to pursue a career in aviation as a pilot. My new flying job is 3 weeks on 3 weeks off so I decided to get back in the business to make some extra money on the side.

Needless to say it’s been a few years since I’ve quoted a job like this and I don’t know what the going market rate is nowadays.

It’s a new build garage/mancave, high end client that wants things done right which I have no problem with as I’m very much a perfectionist but that has caused me issues with underquoting in the past.

All shiplap ceilings to be sprayed white after necessary prep, all walls prepped, primed and painted, 7 windows and 2 doors trim to be prepped and sprayed. 20 stairs/ railings and landing to be prepped stained and clear coated with necessary sanding between coats. All other wood beams to also be stained.

My initial estimate was somewhere around $8000-$9000 CAD all in with material. I’d really appreciate some insight as to what others would charge for a job like this and If I’m way under bidding it or not.
