Problem with inherited game discs from my late uncle – Steam key already redeemed
Hi, I recently got some old physical games from my late uncle. One of them is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, which came with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered.
This is very important to me and I urgently need help as it is a family keepsake from my uncle.
The problem is that the Steam key included with the game was already redeemed around 10 years ago on an account that I don't have access to.
I still have the original physical disc, case, and the key. Is there anything I can do in this situation? Would it be worth contacting Activision or Steam support and explaining that I inherited the physical copy from my uncle?
I also have some other physical games that were meant for Steam but don't seem to work without a key, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: World at War.
Is there any legal or proven way to activate or recover these games if I have the original discs but don't have the original Steam accounts/keys?
