Please Hire Me 🙏 – 11+ Years of Experience in PHP & WordPress

Hi everyone,

There are very few job opportunities in my field right now, so if anyone knows of any openings in WordPress or PHP, please let me know.

I'm also open to AI-related roles. I'm a fast learner and always willing to learn new things.

I'm even willing to work for the first month without payment. If you think I'm good at what I do, we can continue working together; otherwise, you can let me go.

I'm Top Rated on Upwork, but unfortunately, the platform isn't as good as it used to be.

I genuinely need a job right now, so any leads, referrals, or opportunities would mean a lot.

Thanks,
Pratyush

Need Work Urgently -10+ Year WordPress Developer

A few years ago, after leaving my full-time job, I started freelancing on Upwork, and things were going really well. At my peak, I was earning around $4,000/month. However, since around May 2026, the platform has become extremely overcrowded, and the client hiring rate has dropped significantly. It wasn't just me. Many WordPress freelancers in the same niche have been experiencing the same problem.

Right now, I'm not earning anything, so I'm urgently looking for work.

Please don't suggest switching to AI automation or another field. I've spent over a decade building my expertise in WordPress, and starting over in a completely different industry isn't a practical option for me at the moment.

I have 10+ years of experience with WordPress, including:

  • Custom WordPress theme development
  • Custom plugin development (I have also published a plugin on WordPress.org)
  • WooCommerce development
  • Elementor, Divi, Spectra, Gutenberg, and Beaver Builder
  • Custom functionality, performance optimization, and bug fixing

I started my career as a PHP developer before specializing in WordPress, so I'm comfortable working across the entire WordPress stack, from custom themes to complex plugin development.

If you're hiring a WordPress developer or know someone who is, I'd really appreciate it if you could send me a message. Thank you.

Does This Business Partnership Idea Make Sense?

Marketing and sales have never been my strengths, and I'm honestly not very good at either. My biggest strength is web development and design.

I'm looking for a partner who enjoys finding projects while I handle the technical side and client communication. I have proven experience and a strong portfolio. I just need someone who can bring in clients.

I'm happy to work on a 50/50 revenue split. For example, if a project is worth $4000, you keep $2000, and I keep the other $2000.

I know this might sound a bit unusual, but the truth is I'm really not good at convincing people or selling my services. I'd rather focus on what I do best, building websites.

What do you guys think? Is this a good idea? Would anyone actually be interested in this kind of partnership?

Tired of My Web Development Business

I've always dreamed of owning a web development agency. I got into web development back in 2012 and spent the next 8 years working for software companies before going full-time on Upwork, a freelancing platform.

Things went really well. I was earning more than my full-time job, so I quit, started my own agency, and grew it to a team of four. I've built websites for companies like Interform Software and have consistently received great client reviews.

But since around June 2026, my Upwork pipeline has almost completely dried up. It feels like the platform has become extremely competitive, with many freelancers charging prices that just aren't sustainable.

I also tried Google Ads and spent nearly $4,000, but it brought in only one client with a $4,500 project. I completed the project, but after the ad costs, the ROI just wasn't there.

At this point, I'm honestly not sure what to do next. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I'd really appreciate any advice.

Upwork Search Results Showing Incorrect Elementor Job Count

When I search for talent using the keyword "Elementor" to check my ranking, Upwork shows that I have worked on only 4 Elementor jobs, whereas I have actually completed 10.

Can anyone explain why this is happening or suggest what might be wrong?

I'm Doomed

I started my career in 2013 as a PHP developer and later moved into WordPress development. I've been working in this field ever since.

After a few years, I joined Fiverr and was doing quite well until, suddenly, the projects stopped coming in. Then I moved to Upwork, where I also did very well for several years. But now things seem very different.

I see many freelancers struggling to find work, not just me. No matter how hard people try, getting clients seems increasingly difficult. I'm feeling completely lost at this point.

I've tried Meta ads, cold emails, and LinkedIn outreach, but none of them have worked for me. I'm exhausted and honestly don't know what to do next.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to turn things around? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is Anyone Else Struggling on Upwork in 2026?

I'm a Top Rated freelancer on Upwork.

I've spent almost $400 on Connects and submitted boosted proposals. Some were viewed, but in 99% of those cases, the clients never started a contract with anyone

Has anyone else experienced the same thing as a Top Rated freelancer since May 2026?
