Could raw clicking speed hold me back in speeclicking scenarios?

I never played many speeclicking scenarios, but with the end of playdays soon I really want to push for a score of over 120k. Because of this, I gave gridshot a go, and found that top players are averaging 9+ kills per second, meanwhile I can't get over 7 cps on an online 20 second test. And obviously, clearing clusters should be much faster than the average.

I also looked at which of the 6 sections I'm losing the most points towards the world record, and in this run it's -8k; -4k; -7k; -4k; -6k; -9k. This is even more extreme in my pb, where I only drop 2k towards the world record.

To me this indicates that I'm losing way more in parts that require super fast clicking, and less so where I just need to move the mouse fast.

What do you guys think? I'd love to hear from people who play these types of scenarios a lot. Appreciate any advice!

How to get into observing

I have been practicing observing for quite a few months now on a friends twitch channel, and I really enjoy it. I have a decent setup with boltobserv, chezpuf's bind tool, and a bunch of hlae cinematics that I created, and have been using more and more. Obviously I'm not close to t1 observers, but I do think I'd be fine on a t2 or t3 broadcast. Since I'm observing for a friend, I also have vods where I observe, which I could put on a portfolio of some sort.

Has anyone made the step to getting paid for observing here? Are there good ways of getting noticed?

Appreciate any and all advice!
