looking back at my old settings makes my wrist hurt

for those who don't know cm/360 is how much you need to move your mouse in real life to perform a 360 turn in the game. so if you need to only move 3 cm to spin 360 degrees that is insanely fast, and super bad for your wrists. cant believe i used to be so stubborn lol

Aim Lab on controller is utterly useless

The sensitivity is completely different from what the actual games provides that it actually worsens my aim if i try to practice on Aim Lab.

Developer needs to understand every aspect that affects aiming mechanics. And how different games apply these properties to their respective game.

I understand that its impossible to produce a preset that replicate the sensitivity of each game but the fact that they dont provide extensive options to adjust the sensitivity so players can replicate their own sensitivity just defeats the purpose of Aimlab on console. They gotta hire someone who actually understands what goes on with controller aiming.

Aim acceleration is only applied on the boost, there is no response curve adjustment. No radial and axial deadzone adjustment. There is just so many things missing for it to be even worth using.

Could raw clicking speed hold me back in speeclicking scenarios?

I never played many speeclicking scenarios, but with the end of playdays soon I really want to push for a score of over 120k. Because of this, I gave gridshot a go, and found that top players are averaging 9+ kills per second, meanwhile I can't get over 7 cps on an online 20 second test. And obviously, clearing clusters should be much faster than the average.

I also looked at which of the 6 sections I'm losing the most points towards the world record, and in this run it's -8k; -4k; -7k; -4k; -6k; -9k. This is even more extreme in my pb, where I only drop 2k towards the world record.

To me this indicates that I'm losing way more in parts that require super fast clicking, and less so where I just need to move the mouse fast.

What do you guys think? I'd love to hear from people who play these types of scenarios a lot. Appreciate any advice!

Glorious model o

Ok so recently I’ve been looking for a new mouse and ik that on paper the model o is pretty shitty rn and quality has been getting worse over the years. Im prolly clucking rn butttt ive recently noticed in my friend group the 3 best players/aimers have a glorious model o and i wanted to buy one to see if theres any underlying reason that would also make me better. In the last 5 years ive been maining a razer viper mini and the first pulsefire haste and im like kinda dog compared to them.
I was wondering if anyone has any anecdotes regarding the glorious model o whether it makes the aim better, worse, the mouse is good or bad.

Anyways ima prolly end up getting the vxe r1 pro bc it’s better for a similar price loll.

G7 pro 8k should I get it?

I’m thinking about getting the GameSir G7 Pro and I wanted honest opinions from people who actually own it. Is it really worth buying or not? What are the biggest pros and cons? How are the sticks, triggers, latency, build quality, and software? Also, are there any problems that started appearing after using it for a while? I mainly play FPS on PC.

Is it okay to use sensi randomizer for 6-8 months straight

I am very new to aim training I usually play cs2 and I downloaded aimlabs few weeks ago and hit gold complete. Now I just don't want to get better at one game but make my fundamental raw aim better so I am good at almost any game. Now, I have recently learned of this "sensi randomizer" at first I thought maybe use 20cm/360 in one run, the next run 35cm/360 basically the range was 20-65cm. But I learned sensi randomizer don't work that way and I think I understand why they were made as I do kind of feel my brain really doesn't work during aiming that much. Anyways now is tranning with sensi randomizer 6-8 months straight helpful and will it increase my voltaic rank or should I occasionally use sensi randomizer and how many times a week and how much faster will it make my climb. And also I use the in game aimlabs sensi randomizer and I would love to know your settings of the randomizer

An interesting training method (I may or may not have invented). Thoughts?

Im a real firm believer in being able to increase your skill ceiling higher by using a moderate to slow sensitivity. This reason I say this is because a mod-slow sens translates to larger mouse movements. In my personal experience larger movements equals better consistency with accuracy and speed shortly follows once adapted.

For example a 10cm/360 will move his mouse a fraction to hit a target on the side of his screen. A 60cm/360 player will have to move his mouse considerably to hit the same target.

How consistently and quickly can you subconsciously flick your mouse to the exact 1cm x 1cm square on a mousepad that is directly on the target?

Well, as I’m now approaching GM complete my progress is not what it used to be. Diminishing returns even when I put extra time in.

So here’s what I’ve been doing:

A scenario like 1 wall 1 target works best for this, the size of the target is totally dependent on you.

You are not shooting for score. You are training.

Before you initiate your flick to the next target, close your eyes and open them once the flick has stopped. How close/far to the target were you?

Experimenting myself, if I over flick my targets the entire run and the next run, lower my sens, and then rerun the scenario again, I’m closer and closer to the target. Eventually ending in a near perfect run of landing my flicks with entirely my perception of where my mouse should land on the mouse pad.

Somehow I feel like I’m training my subconscious, like I’m listening to how much my brain thinks it needs to move my arm/wrist to get to the target. I’m not sure if the science behind it - by my god, IT WORKS! (at least it has for me, very well)

Any thoughts on this?

It sounds dumb and maybe it is, but I genuinely believe it’s only benefiting the training side of things and having done this every day for a number of weeks now, I feel like I’m sharper than ever with clicking dots!

Diamond in Voltaic Aimlabs S3 and Platinum in Voltaic Kovaaks S5 reached.

https://preview.redd.it/n57o8220jw1h1.png?width=1615&format=png&auto=webp&s=844dfaca7160cdce36731df59a5a68bf9313ed5e

After playing the VDIM for many weeks, i could atleast get diamond in the Voltaic Aimlabs Benchmark... (left Side) Since most here seem to play the Voltaic Kovaaks Benchmark i started to play it too (right side).

i was really surprised that the exercises are completly different. i used to think it were the same exercises for the two programs.

I somehow doubt i can reach diamond complete in either of those because of static clicking. I know the theory of badoz method etc but cant really implement.

I am still glad i could atleast hit two Jade and several Diamond scores in tracking/switching scenarios 😄.

How do I improve

I have 35 hours on aimlab right now and I hit 102k on sixshot ultimate on accident, I am now consistently hitting 90k+ on sixshot but I cannot seem to get pass 100k mark, any advice or exercise that can help me improve? I also started using aimlab plus to find the best sensitivity so I have been messing around with the sense a lot recently I wonder if that could be the issue? And is there a way to actually find a perfect sensitivity or is it purely based on preference?

Feeling completely overwhelmed trying to fix my aim

So I've been playing FPS ( Apex now i but i played everything from r6s to arena breakpoint) and Dota 2 for years and recently decided to actually try to improve my aim. Turns out my entire setup was a disaster and I didn't even know it.

Before:

  • 3200 DPI
  • Windows pointer speed at 10 (yes, TEN. i dont know why)
  • g502x plus + basic logitech cloth pad
  • Pure wrist aim

I basically discovered I was playing at an effective sensitivity of around 6400+ DPI this whole time. My entire muscle memory was built around making microscopic wrist movements to compensate. No wonder my tracking was a mess.

Now:

  • Windows pointer speed to 6, enhanced pointer precision OFF
  • Dropped to 1600 DPI
  • In-game sens 0.69 in Apex
  • Bought a Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2
  • Bought an Artisan Zero Soft mousepad
  • Started Aimlabs with a sub

The mouse feels great and the pad is nice but my aim feels worse than before. My wrist hurts after sessions from consciously trying to arm aim which i find very difficult to use.

VT 1w1t VALORANT Easy help please

Hey

Just for some context I have about 100 hours in Valorant and I peaked gold 3. I have 25 hours in Aimlabs from me just playing random scenarios. I discoverd voltaic 3 days ago and I've been doing the valorant benchmarks. I am gold (first try on 80% scenarios) in everything except "VT 1w1t VALORANT Easy". I have about 15 runs on it but can't seem to hit gold. Do I need more practice or are there flaws in my runs?

thank you in advanced

I play at 3cm/360

Decided to look into aimlabs after years just for funsies. I play a lot of games but mostly low precision games like RTSes, MMOs, etc. I do play a handful of shooters nowadays like hunt showdown/deadlock, and used to play a lot more, although not particularly high level. Id give most of them a try, but rarely super into them.

Weird seeing how many people say under 20cm/360 is unplayable. I hate how slow it feels to turn. In normal games I never felt aim was a hindrance and a lot of games have characters/guns to kind of cater to me. Well aware my tracking is always mediocre but my flicks are decent. With high damage slow firing weapons I think my aim is above average. Throw in some strafing for micro adjustments and you can't even tell.

In aimlabs though, I can definitely tell. When it comes down to raw aim it can be rough. Definitely gonna experiment with it, probably try lower sensitivity.

Using a 12 button Corsair mouse which does actually have dpi toggles. Part of the reason why my dpi is so high is I always game on normal office mouse pads. Just not that kind of space xd. I'm also lazy and avoid big movements.

We'll see how it goes, I guess.

3000 dpi, 2.01 sensitivity in aim labs.

Top 3% droidtrack intermediate on controller (no gyro)

As far as I know the current record is 3400 for no gyro controller, I plan to get a handcam setup for when I go for it. Point of the post is to proove how far controller can go without aim assist, I've been on roller for 6 weeks now coming from being a mnk grinder

Am I not using my wrist enough?

This was on the elite droid track task, for context. Sorry I can’t have a side by side video or a proper hand cam, but I don’t really have the means to. On this attempt, I scored 3852, so a respectable score. However, I feel as though I am possibly making do with slightly poor technique. As you can see in the video there is little to no left/rightwards flexion in my wrist. The movements are very elbow dominant. I am playing on 28cm/360, so I feel I should be using my wrist more. If I am right and I am becoming too arn dominant, how do I iron this out of my technique? Thanks

Got to Emerald in 18 days🥳, how difficult will it be to get to Diamond?

https://preview.redd.it/08bgfls95z0h1.png?width=1588&format=png&auto=webp&s=98d81a3088a570b4fce6abb0991f61abc4de89ec

Last time I played an FPS was 3-4 years ago, so I decided to hop on and try to see how I'd fare coming back. Getting to Diamond from my current skill level seems very daunting!

Is the best way to practice for ranked playing ranked? Curious to see if others have different warmup routines.
