Grew up thinking Americans eat fast food every day — what do y'all ACTUALLY cook at home?👀

Okay, I have to confess. before I moved to the US, I genuinely thought the average American family sat down with McDonald's , KFC or a giant pizza for dinner every single night. That was literally the "American diet" as far as I knew. So for those of you who actually live here**,**

What do American families ACTUALLY cook on a regular weeknight?

What's the "default" meal that every household seems to make, but nobody talks about because it's so normal? Like, what's the American equivalent of "rice + stir-fry" that I just don't know about yet

Bonus: any meal that surprised you when you realized "oh, Americans actually eat this at home, not just in restaurants"?

Mom of 3 — what air fryer actually held up?

Kids are 4/7/10, kitchen is tiny, finally pulling the trigger on an air fryer this week. Budget around $90, want 6qt+. What did you buy and why? What do you wish you'd known? (not a brand, just a tired mom doing her back-to-school research)

My air fryer is doing my oven's job and I feel weird about it 😅

Got mine 3 weeks ago. Used my full-size oven twice this week. Husband said "so the oven is just for vibes now?" What do you cook in yours most? Does it actually replace your oven?

Honest — has your air fryer ever become a dust collector? What's your DREAM one?

I've got 3 kids and a tiny kitchen. I've been burned before (Instant Pot lives on a high shelf now, bread maker maybe once a month, don't ask about the sous vide 😅).Mine's still in honeymoon phase. But before I get too attached:
1. Did you ever stop using yours? Why?
2. If budget was no object, what would your DREAM air fryer have?
Mine: self-cleaning, whisper-quiet (so I can use it at 5:30am), and like 10 temp settings because I burn everything at one 🥲
