I have a custom font set up for my Half-Life 2 mod. But for people to actually see it, they have to manually click on the "ttf" file and install it.
How do I make the font appear automatically without people having to do so? Is that even possible? I'm using "Mapbase".
I followed EXACTLY what the valve wiki said, and nothing works. I already made my subtitles file and added the custom subtitles inside it.
If I drag the file onto the captioncompiler.exe file.. I get the errors:

And If I make the batch file script, add the same exact code that the wiki provides, and run it.. it DOES work, but then midway it just suddenly stops and I hear the Windows error sound.
HOW DO YOU DO THIS? ive literally tried everything, NOTHING WORKS. I am using mapbase though, so maybe you're supposed to create captions differently with it? im literally at my wits end.

I made two maps. And I want a value to be set when the player kills someone good. And that value carries onto the second map. Causing the bad ending, and vice versa.
Is such a thing possible in hammer? If so, then how can I do it?
Personally? I enjoyed it. It was pretty fun, but I hated how slow it ran.
