A very Interesting Discover I made while I watched the Live Event | Save the World

I noticed the new G Wagon headlights use actual Spotlight components. Together with Global Illumination, it replicates the exact car lighting quality STW had in 2017!

Ever since Car_Copper vanished from the game files (the specific Blueprint that dynamically boosted car real light intensity (not only emissive Material) based on time of day and also how the spotlight angles being adjusted (Outer/Inner Cone), we haven't seen this engine capability, used on vehicles but also on many assets such as props, Like the TrafficLight anymore

Is this spotlight physically attached to the G-Wagon asset? Or is it just a hardcoded trick for cutscenes? But Either way, its a undeniable proof of how much cinematic atmosphere STW has lost over the years.

But there is good thing, UEFN shows that the old props still have their Spotlight components attached to their Sockets, its technically all restorable for both vehicles but also light emitting assets with actual logic behind them but sadly, Car_Copper is gone and needs to be remade as a blueprint

Simple Ambience to Introduce Night Time

Could you please look into the 3 Ambience SFX / transition tracks that used to play when transitioning through the day-evening-night cycle? They seem to have completely disappeared from the current game files

I'd also like to mention TimeChange_Dusk, which played right as the evening was arriving before evening_thing and TimeChange_Dawn, which triggered when you survived the night and the map transitioned back to morning.

These audio files were massive for the spooky feel and immersion of the world. Any chance you guys could look into restoring these Audio/Cues

Community Day Event not in Save the World?! Who decided that

Make your own Versions and show them that Save the World also should be a part off the Community Day Event

Where is the Moon and Sun?! | Save the World

Jk, I know where both off them are, their position offset was adjusted into a - xyz value so far
outside that you cannot see them anymore, The light from both played a massive role in illuminating the world, both day and night

the exact Entry in the Files

SunMesh → 1x1x1_Box_Pivot_-XYZ (Type 1) MoonMesh → 1x1x1_Box_Pivot_-XYZ (Type 1) SunScale: 0.0 (Typ 2) MoonScale: 0.0 (Type 2) *DEAD

Edit: For some reason, some maps like Scurvey have a fully functional Sun for example

This is Restoration no Update

This Map Chunk and Ambient Sound Trigger was a basic Feature back then when the Sound Design was actually made with love and wasnt removed intentionally or "by accident"

the thing is, the Ambient Sound Loops and Non Loops were heavily reduced over the years also wind, storm and many other sfx dont exist anymore since the (Great Reset of Cinematic Save the World) This Games Visuals are Dead since years and all can be restored again

Reference Video:

Forest Night (Ambience)

My report about missing audio:

Here

My other two reports were backlogged because they know how broken the atmosphere is they know how severe the issue is, I discovered what's missing and will post a MASSIVE Table giving the answer to everything and what actually happened with Save the World cinematic Visuals and it's heartbreaking

Online Test 10 Lighting | Save the World

Disclaimer: the screen artifacts are caused by emulation and aren't present in the native version

Credits to: u/suspiciousrat2. He’s an ambitious and dedicated STW player who shares my same nostalgia for the original Fortnite cinematic vibes and.... it just looks better overall

Online Test 10 was playable about 5 months before the official 2017 launch

Its also possible to (play) OT10 today again!

The Broken Lighting | Save the World

https://reddit.com/link/1sbcggn/video/9axe6pwwrysg1/player

Instead of nurturing the passionate project that so many dedicated people built over the years, it feels like the focus has shifted entirely toward hyper realistic Unreal Engine graphics. The problem are not even the modern asset for the most part, the game does need modernization!! The issue is that these modern assets arent integrated correctly into the existing world of Save the World, creating a visual disconnect that hurts the games core identity.

Back in the day, Fortnite was envisioned as a serious, thrilling game with a distinct horror atmosphere. While those vibes were softened in the 2017 build which was a great middle ground that era still perfectly represented what Fortnite was meant to be. This post serves as a direct request to the development team

Please look into these regressions and restore the soul that has been stripped from the game. 2/3 off the playerbase doenst even know that this is how the game looked once.

This isnt about nostalgia, its about artistic integrity and restoration. A large portion off the community is asking for a return to the high contrast, moody environmental visuals that once made this project stand out. If the original vision continues to be ignored, we risk losing the very essence that makes Save the World worth playing, Gameplay is nothing without Visuals

Big Announcement Soon!!
