Completed 1 year with my escooter. Here is how its going
Just realized I’ve had this escooter (hiboy titan) for a year and I feel like it kinda went by pretty fast. When I was getting it, I thought soo muchh about it because I was not sure if I will really ride it and I thought I am getting because I am influenced by others. But thats sooo not the case.
I went with it mainly because I needed something that could handle a longer commute (like something with reliable battery) Scooter has 80 miles claimed range which was very helpful in my case and was in my budget range (so went with it)
Though in real use I am getting range of around 45-55 mile zone (like how hilly the route is plus how much I push it) which is much less but kinda works for me. But I also like that its been pretty consistent throughout and I havent noticed any significant battery degradation after using for a year.
Mine has dual motors which are defintely strong. I can easily ride most hills without facing any issue (which I know is the big reason most people dont get escooters and go with bike instead)
The weight is something I wish I noticed beforee. Its 103 lbs and hard to put in car trunk or carry through stairs. So I wont recommend getting it if you dont have an elevator or something in your building.
Also mine comes with gel-filled tires which are a big big win (didnt face any flats in 1 year) and happy about that because they can be a nightmare. SMH
Maintenance-wise I've tightened up the stem a couple times and at times kept the brakes adjusted and I think that's it. Nothing broke or needed replacement so far.
To sum it up I never thought escooter could kinda replace my car for 80% of trip. But it did and so far I am happy with the purchase.
