Considering X430. Tall Fescue Cutting height is stopping me
Hi all. First post here. I have been looking at robot mowers and the X430 far and away looks like the best out there. With current sale thinking about it seriously. The one thing that is stopping me is the no lift razor blade cutting. I have Tall Fescue which in cooler months i cut at 3” and in heat of Summer like now 3.5”. The lawn is in good shape. I’d call it fairly dense nice grass for most part. I have serious doubts about no lift razor blade mowers ability to do a decent cut vs just pushing it over. I’ve read what i could on this and see conflicting information but see plenty that confirms my concerns. The lawn is not big. Typical suburban 1/4 acre lot. Yes I know the 430 is big for that size but im ok with that. I like the features the build of it cut width and actual steering. My guess is it would do it in maybe 5-6hr. Athough I know it could I just can’t see cutting every day. I’d be ok with every other day. Even now with rotary mower 3” looks nice and 3.5” a bit “shaggy“ in comparison but good. I wouldn’t expect perfection but it has to do a decent job at 3.5”. Can it? Actual experience with TTF and 3.5” would be helpful
