Custom board trouble shooting
I’ve been working endlessly on custom painted cornhole boards for my wedding. I have made custom beer pong tables before and never had an issue putting polycrylic as a top coat. However, when I went to overlay the polycrylic this time, it started lifting almost immediately and almost made this booger like texture on the board that I could peel up and nothing was even, with lots of brush strokes in the top coat. I sprayed one quick layer of the polycrylic aeresol spray first then did a layer of the normal paint on. I used a synthetic paint brush. I’m not sure what could have happened here. I did a layer of the spray first because I used a paint pen in areas that smears if you are painting on the polycrylic with a brush. Any help on what happened and how I should proceed would be appreciated. I’m afraid I just ruined weeks of work. Pics to see where it just lifted right off the board.
