will the new ceo pay me a visit if my dad and i created this new beauty without paying the new fender CEO a dime?
my dad and i built this, we ordered the body, the neck to vintage specifications, bought the rest of the pieces, which were seymour duncan hot rails, gotoh bridge, graph tech ratio tuners, 10-46 seymour duncan strings, used a lot of copper tape, vintage cloth wires, threaded inserts, bourns push pulls *2., 3 way switch, we bought all the parts needed for it to work.
it has a full mahogany body with maple top and maple neck, weights 4.3kg, has no weight reductions and has 10 tones and a kill switch, its wired in series/parallel and in and out of phase, ive played so far songs by sabrina carpenter, rolling stones, etc.
oh and the hot rails by seymour duncan are really beautiful, they sound really raw, gritty, and are able to take the amp on a clean channel into dirty areas with just the 3rd position of the switch (bridge humbucker on series), the guitar sounds like in the middle between a SG and a les paul, and the out of phase makes it sound like a telecaster, (i thought the twang would be gone).
i post this so others may find hope in creating their own guitars and so others may see that the seymour duncan hot rails are perfect for teles, i originally did not like the tele sound, but the out of phase has made me love it, since the tele original essence (alder) gives it the classic twang, but in here since its mahogany, it still retains the twang in the out of phase tones, yet, it sounds fuller than other guitars in the out of phase section.
