Exorcist II - The Heretic was so much worse than I could have ever imagined. Painfully dull, movie literally has no plot, Linda Blair can't act and spends most of her screen time, wearing blowsy dresses.

Like, what is the point of a Exorcist sequel if you bring back Regan and have her do next to nothing. She doesn't even get possessed (partly because La Blair refused to wear the Pazuzu make-up).

Pazuzu's new voice sounded like June Cleaver after she drank spoiled milk and spent the entire night retching, Richard Burton is essentially doing Rod Steiger by screaming and going maniacal. Film finds time to have him travel to Africa over some nincopoop expedition to find a fat tribesman named Kukumo. Burton shrieking Kukumo every five minutes is just too much.

Kitty Winn came back because the writers gave her character a bit more to do but it's essentially just her acting bananas. Almost everybody in this movie is bonkers except for Blair's Regan who even has time to do a Chorus Line number that culminates in her falling off the stage and Louise Fletcher's Gene who seems more interested in showing off her new figure and costumes than in actually building a character. I don't know why they didn't just have Fletcher play Chris since Fletcher and Burstyn look so much alike.

It breaks my heart how Zoey Deutch was mostly ignored for awards consideration for "Nouvelle Vague"

Her turn as Jean Seberg was pitch perfect. I couldn't stop staring at her, she looked so much like the legendary actress.

Jennie Garth saying Luke Perry was her first love: A genuine confession or one more example of attention seeking?

I feel bad for saying this but Jennie is someone whom I take everything with a grain of salt. I never forgot Brian calling her out for not supporting Tori and then doing a podcast with Tori, implying Jennie (he never said it was Jennie but c'mon) is two-faced and often says stuff she doesn't mean.

Let's talk about John Carpenter's last movie, "The Ward",a crazy, madhouse Horror movie that is kinda reminiscent of "Gothika",featuring Amber Heard, Meryl Streep's daughter and Jared Harris. Shockingly cheap looking but you can tell it's directed by a master of Horror.

I can kind of see why Carpenter quit making movies because you can tell he was given no support in making this movie. It's so cheap, so CW skinemax production values. What saves it is the ideas, the acting (Amber Heard has the chops, Jared Harris is creepy,Danielle Panabaker is so underrated) and the direction. A lesser director would have made this David DeCoteau bad. O

Which Steven Spielberg movie you feel doesn't get enough love?

Empire of the Sun, absolutely. It's been a slightly forgotten movie by Spielberg because, while it did get good reviews, especially for Christian Bale, it was a commercial failure. I grew up watching that movie and identified greatly with the lead. Some scenes are as good as the best sequences filmed by Spielberg, I go gaga over that epic, emotional score by John Williams. I love this movie so much I have a hard time seeing Bale play another role. Because, to me, he'll always be the spoiled rich brat Jamie who gets slapped by his Chinese Governess.

Does anyone get the impression Gabrielle Carteris/Andrea didn't get along with the rest of the cast?

I feel like this is the Elephant in the room. I saw her interview with Steve Kmetko and when he asked her about Luke and Shannen, she was almost dismissive or didn't seem to be all that sad about it.

I totally believe the rumors about her and Shannen not getting along. It feels likev she only likes Jason and everybody else is of no interest to her.

Which were the most embarrassing phases for each of the main characters,in your opinion?

Brenda pretending to be French (terribly) in Paris and everyone buying it.

Cokehead Kelly going full on Bobby and Whitney with Colin at their drug den.

David's Criss Cross Rap/HipHop recording career.

Andrea having a makeover and looking much older afterwards.,

Donna remembering her dead grandma who looks exactly like her,

Dylan hooking up with the Horse Lady/Borg Queen

Did anyone find Toni kind of annoying and the romance with Dylan insulting for fans whowere invested in Dylan and Brenda/Kelly?

Toni was way too nice and perfect. It just seemed too much of a stretch. And Dylan only knows her for 8 episodes and is ready to marry her. Puhleazze!!

I also found it unconvincing how Kelly doesn't seem all that affected by this. I'd feel some kind of way if my ex was this quick to marry someone.

What are your thoughts on Jennifer Connelly (Penny) in "Top Gun: Maverick" (2022)?

This movie wasn't as focused on the love story as it was in TOP GUN.I thought all the cbaracters, except for TomCruise's Maverick, were painfully underwritten.

Jennifer Connelly is stunning in the movie and I kind of wish we had been given more development in the relationship between Maverick and Penny. As it is, Connelly shows up here and here but it's not a part which stands out. And I don't think she and Cruise had enough time to build chemistry.

And this Penny character only existed because they didn't want to bring back Kelly McGillis.

The Rusty Anchor was a gay bar. Agree or disagree?

I mean, they don't care about Blanche wearing no bra and get more excited about Dorothy singing show tunes. No women to take attention away from Blanche.

Dealing with noisy film goers is stressful. Why do people pay to go the movies to then spent it on looking at you phone or speaking for the entire movie?

I went to see Mortal Kombat II and this bitch wouldn't shut up, she was like a audio commentary. I thought she'd shut up when the movie started and she kept on going. Nobody else said anything. I wanted to tell her to STFU but I decided today was not the day so I moved to the front.I could still hear her but it wasn't as bad.

Going to the movies ain't cheap and yet, you still get entitled idiots mess it up for those of us who want to see the movie.

Does anyone find Noah worse than Ray when it comes to Donna's boyfriends?

Ray was abusive and a jerk but, at least, he was transparent. Noah gaslit Donna all the time and Donna bought into it which is why those two lasted as long as they did.

Besides, Ray had issues. I don't think he and Donna should ever get back together but I always felt he had mental issues. Noah was just a dick.

Blanche being so homophobic when her brother returns feels very odd given how accepting she was at the end of the first episode

Sure, Blanche does end up saying she thought it was a phase but even so, her sudden squeamishness came off as exaggerated when years before, she was trying to introduce him to a new man.

Ironically, Blanche is the Golden Girl most gay men identify with. Rue even bragged about how gay men wanted to be Blanche. THough we'd pick much hotter guys. Aside from the plumber and that guy she met who thought she had a baby, all the dudes Blanche got were usually dogs.

Imagine if The Golden Girls rebooted in mid 90s with Bea Arthur returning. How would it have done?

After Lucas divorced Dorothy for cheating on him with Stan and Sophia burned the hotel down, the four women managed to get Blanche's house back after Blanche sleeps with the married owner and convinces him to sell it back to her or else.

Sophia: Pussycat, please tell me you didn't ruin your marriage over that putz Stan.

Dorothy: Ma, I already feel bad enough about it. I feel like a storm is raging inside of me.

Rose: Don't worry, Dorothy, storms happen outside of our bodies.

Do you think Betty, Rue and Estelle resented Bea Arthur for leaving the show?

Don't forget Season 7 only fell off the ratings because the Network didn't bother topromotre it and took it off SAturdays since they knew Bee was gone.

Sure, they got The Golden Palace gig, but deep down, they knew they couldn't survive without Bea. Betty had a long term career.

It seemed like Rue was the one who struggled the most. EStelle got to be on Empty Nest and kept working fulltime until Dementia made itimpossible.

I knew "Exorcist II: The Heretic" was revlled as a terrible Horror movie but I had no idea it was SOOOOOOO boring!!!!

I went into that movie thinking it was either a misunderstood cult Horror, because some respected critics did like it (Pauline Kael thought it was a better movie than the original) , or a very entertaining, fun bad movie.

It was none of those, it was just BAAAAAADDD. The positive first:

- The cinematography by William A. Fraker was hypnotic, visually lush. Ennio Morricone's score brings the mood.

- Louise Fletcher has never looked more stunning than in this. I couldn't stop staring at her.

Everythinhg else sucked. There was no possession, Linda Blair is such a bad actress that she couldn't even fall off a stage convincingly. Wooden delivery. Richard Burton, hammy.

The film's pace was SLOW. It moved like a snail, I was bored because nothing was happening for a whole hour, then Richard Burton goes to Africa where he acts deranged while looking for Kokumo played by James Earl Jones.

Terrible, terrible movie.

If Kelly Taylor decided to publish a tell-all book about her life in Beverly Hills, what would you imagine she'd write?

About Brenda:

> I knew it was wrong to kiss Dylan because he was my best friend's boyfriend but I knew Dylan first and we had a connection. He was my destiny and I had to fight for it. Brenda tried to separate us but our love could never go away.

On Valerie:

>I didn't trust Valerie. Too many lies. I caught her smoking pot and I'm completely against drugs so I hac my eye on her. She proved me right by trying to steal my boyfriend and caused us so much pain.I forgave her but I will never forget.

On Donna:

>My sister, my mother, my best friend. We've been close friends for our entire lives. Even though David had a crush on me first before our parents married, I'm proud that through me he and Donna got together and got married. I never liked Ray or Noah. Joe was cute. And Donna is a fabulous designer, she's always asking me to pose for new fashion spreads to promote her label.

On Claire:

> I tolerated her because Donna liked her. Claire never forgave me for being with Brandon, even if she never admitted it. I knew. She would make a passive-aggressive comment directed at me and I'd ignore it. For our peace of mind. I chose to blow it off and ignore her, I never liked what she wore anyway. And when she left, I was happy. Steve is so much happier with Janet. And me and Janet often DM each other.

On Allison and Tara:

>I don't understand why Lesbians always had a thing for me.I was clueless about that when I was in college. Now I'm much more open minded about that stuff.Would I ever sleep with a woman?Oh no, I love men. Maybe Valerie, she's from Minnesota.
