Follow up to Transfer post

So looks like I'm CSDH for the rest of the week in this new store and I figured I might as well ask if those of you who do self scan would be comfortable with running me through any problems you come into that I should look out for? I know nothing about it so please explain like I'm new to the company, thanks!

Transfer

So today was my first day at a new store I transferred to and idk if I'm just expecting too much. I went from a very small store that didn't even do propane exchanges to a huge store with a pharmacy and citizens bank, and in a different state than I originally worked in. I was clocked in by the manager and then immediately put into a CSDH position without being shown anything or given numbers for anything. I understand the basic things needed to get done throughout the day of course, but if I don't know how to do certain things (such as self checkout or self scan) how TF am I supposed to help anybody? And obviously I'm not blaming any single person but collectively I wish the transition could've been a little smoother :/

Concert Etiquette

Guys I really am not one to complain and am usually not very easily agitated, but last night at the concert my friend and I could barely see any of the stage because two girls in front of us quite literally had their phones up as high as they could hold them up to film. Not only were their phones blocking our view but they were using BOTH ARMS to hold up their cameras. Even the people behind us were complaining about it. And it wouldn't have been a problem if they weren't filming quite literally the ENTIRE show, nearly every song and the ENTIRE song (her phone died so she got her mom's phone, which then ran out of storage).

I didn't want to say anything because 1.) these girls seemed on the younger side (probably 15,16) and I don't want to be mean and 2.) they had a parental unit there that was literally staring people down and it was freaking me out.

So as a PSA please try to keep your phones down to a REASONABLE level so you're not blocking literally everyone's view behind you. Absolutely no hate to this girl, just a concertgoer who spent money to see it for myself, not through someone else's screen.

Untalked about symptoms for those who are afraid

Beginning around this time last year, I had the most intense panic attack of my life. I had just started taking Zoloft and I believe that my body had a bad reaction to it. I had *very* strange symptoms that no one could really give me answers to until I found someone in my close circle that had very similar ones.

As someone with Health Anxiety (that may or may not coincide with OCD), I was petrified for months, convinced that they were my last. I was quite literally saying my goodbyes to people because I was convinced the ER and my doctors were going to let me die. But, I want to spread awareness of symptoms that I have had that are confusing, and terrifying when experiencing them so you, the person reading this, can feel less alone, and hopefully less afraid of their next attack :)

My attack started off with a dull tingling in the back of my throat that travelled down my tongue, and eventually developed into an electric shock sensation (within a few seconds). I then got a massive hot flash that made me feel as if I was going to literally lose control of my bladder. My hands and feet were cold but sweating.

After this attack went away (it lasted about half an hour and came in waves), I still had symptoms I couldn't explain. My head felt as if a boulder was placed on the center of it and my entire body was being weighed down. I still have intense vertigo and a fear of the sky on certain days. I also have spotty vision. I mean this as in, I see little black circles in my vision when it's about to start. Typically it's one black circle in the center of my vision.

I also still have terrible nausea, heart palpitations (or my heart races), and sometimes I'm convinced my body is no longer used to the earth's pressure and that I'm just going to collapse and die from it.

So, to end this, I hope this hasn't caused anyone fear, I hope that it's done the opposite actually. I think what made me so afraid was not knowing what was happening because my panic had never had that strong of a grip on me. It changes as you do, and as long as you know what to look out for and what your body is saying to you, the feelings will pass. You will be ok!
