Thought today would announce updates + tracks...

Yeah so I understood there'd be the announcement about the US tracks but also assumed they'd talk about up coming enhancements, updates, and fixes. Is this still coming or am I just making things up in my head?

Pretty good video on racing etiquette in multi-class by a pro driver

Creator is Daniel Morad. He drives a Porsche Cup car in real life and also does LMU and iracing. I've done several gold races at Imola this week and the interaction between the classes has been pretty bad. Worse than usual and probably because it's a tough track to pass on. For example, in the last race I just did, there were 12 DNFs out of 38 cars combined. I don't usually qualify well, but by lap 3, I had gone from 13th to 4th. Accidents and unintentional contact happen, but certainly some of this would be avoidable with better understanding of race craft.

Multi-class racing is more art than science and while there are some basic rules, many don't know, care, or understand them. It takes time to learn and adapt to the speed differences. There's plenty of drivers in every class that needs to learn--it's not one or the other--and this video makes an attempt. Hopefully it helps someone or two...

Won in hypercar at Sebring today, split 2 of 4. Only took me 157 races. I would say I was on the verge of winning something awhile back until they introduced the badge system. Then I found myself frequently in split 1 with no chance. Sebring is my favorite track so I guess that makes it cooler.

By the way, are the DNFs included in the 157 or is 157 completed plus DNF?

I use Tiny Pedal for dash stuff and they have a new widget for damage stats. It shows percent of damage to the body, suspension, aero, and tires. It's way more informative than the yellow/orange highlights and tells the extent of the problem. I had a medium hit to the rear from a late-braking champion and it showed 9% body damage but only 2% aero so I knew I was good to go. Takes out the mystery.

They also have a lift and coast widget that shows traction loss and lock up which I find helpful as well. Plus, I think their radar is better than LMU's. Anyway, just a friendly PSA.
