Got All Silver after 30 races. Should I keep grinding Bronze Dailies?

Got All Silver after 30 races. Should I keep grinding Bronze Dailies?

I've been really enjoying the LMP3 Fuji races. I'm so hooked on this sim after about 4 years nearly exclusively on ACC. I'm thinking of getting a Racepro sub with DLC's so I can do online championships. But I think I'm gonna keep grinding my safety rating in Bronze dailies and then move onto the Silver races. Man I really really love this sim, especially with the up coming DLC

Choosing the right car

Hey all,

Before I begin, I’m probably overthinking this, I know. I recently bought LMU and have about 15 hours in it now. Around 12 of those are in the Mercedes, but I recently got all the DLCs. I started thinking: since I spent money on the DLCs and now have “better” cars available, I might as well use one of them.

So I started looking at what cars are good and easy to drive, and I ended up with this rough list:

  • Ford / Lamborghini / Corvette: too hard for me right now
  • Porsche: fun, but a bit too tricky for a first car
  • Lexus / McLaren: never tried, and I kind of want to stay away from the default/free cars
  • Ferrari: slow?

So that leaves me with the Mercedes, BMW, and Aston Martin. I’ve tried all of them and I like them all.

I’ve seen that the BMW is considered a great beginner car, but people also say it’s a bit slow? The Aston Martin seems very strong and good with fixed setups, but I haven’t really seen it labeled as beginner-friendly. The Mercedes is the one I’ve driven the most and I like how it feels, but I’m not sure where it ranks. Apparently it’s a bit of a “dark horse,” and I’ve also seen it described as good for beginners.

So I’m a bit unsure what I should do. I know the obvious answer is “just pick something and drive,” but I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting time on a car that isn’t worth it.

I mainly watched a few videos (Vid #1, Vid #2, Vid #3, Vid #4) and also read a blog post, but everything feels pretty subjective. At the moment, there’s a VMS Pro Series race at Silverstone and I see a BMW leading, then a Ford, Porsche, Porsche, and a Merc. And when I watch higher-level content, I also often see Ferraris in the mix (like UKOG & Dan Suzuki), so I’m not sure what to make of it.

I guess I just needed to type this out and maybe have a conversation with someone about it.

Need better stewarding

Been away for a month because I was tired of dirty drivers in gold races, did 2 spa races today already seen 3 people blocking, multiple rams and dirty dives and one guy who straight up ended my race so I spectate him hes blocking another driver and when he gets close he pits him and ends his race too lol

Pretty sure he's even playing with a controller as hes jerkin around all over the track

I keep getting told there's an auto ban system, how can he take out 2 people and he's driving around like it was nothing

I just want to be able to race against people who can actually read the rules of the game 🙄

Moza R3 overheating only in Le Mans Ultimate – FFB/Pit House settings help?

I recently picked up a Moza R3 direct drive base and I've been loving it so far. However, I've noticed something odd: LMU is the only game where my base actually heats up noticeably during longer sessions. It doesn't happen with any other title I own, so I'm guessing it's something on the settings side rather than a hardware issue.

Before I start messing around blindly, I wanted to ask the community:

What in-game FFB settings are you running for the R3 specifically? (Gain, FFB Smoothing, Understeer Effect, etc.)

Any recommended Pit House settings for LMU — FFB strength, filtering, torque limits, Soft Lock?

Has anyone else run into their base warming up more in LMU than in other sims, and if so what fixed it for you?

Wheelbase: Moza R3

Game: Le Mans Ultimate

Any settings screenshots or general advice would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Localisation des nouveaux circuits aux USA

Damien Bcs posted this on LMU’s Facebook page. Which circuits do you think this corresponds to? Would that make sense?

I’ve had a quick look but I can’t necessarily make out everything; Indianapolis and Laguna Seca seem to be on there

Looking for GT7 / LMU commentators to join our growing league/community

Hi all,

We’re looking for a few commentators/casters who might be interested in getting involved with our sim racing community, Apex & Chill Racing League.

We run weekly racing in both Gran Turismo 7 and Le Mans Ultimate, with a growing community of 160+ active members and just over 1k subscribers on YouTube.

We’re not looking for anything super formal — just passionate sim racers who know the games, enjoy motorsport, and can help bring some energy to our live broadcasts.

Whether you’ve commentated loads before or you’re newer and want to build experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Our races include:

GT7 league racing

LMU GT3 / LMP2 multiclass racing

Endurance special events

Ideally you:

Know GT7 and/or LMU well

Have a decent mic

Can talk racing and keep streams engaging

Enjoy being part of a community

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, drop a comment or send me a message.

Even if commentary isn’t your thing but you know someone who might be interested, feel free to tag them.

Crashes and disconnects happen, here is how to deal with them (for players and for devs)

There are definitely crashes and disconnects, for me I've done a 144 races, a good chunk of them were endurance races, and i have crashed/ disconnected 4 times only, so basically 2.8% of races, still wish it was zero so i can have that peace of mind.

(The 2 last disconnects was 1st a driver issue, and the 2nd was a Virtual Desktop issue)

So mostly likely that number would be 1.4%

Although i do think that the percentage is probably very high for a not so insignificant number of players.

But its highly likely that they haven't done these to avoid the disconnects/crash provided their actual pc doesn't have a corrupt gpu drivers or high cpu/gpu temps:

-Verify Integrity of game files inside steam after every update (if it says that you have missing files then this is a big reason)

-changing the time mode in windows to be automatic and clicking sync now( most likely prevents disconnects)

The problem is that some people will have many crashes and disconnects because they didn't check the discord server, and i can't blame them since the game has fully released a year ago so one would reasonably expect that the game would work normally.

Also here are the steps of what i listed:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Fixes game crash+ disconnects+ random bugs and issues)

Right click on LMU in Steam menu, Properties, Installed Files, Verify Integritry of Game files.

----

(Fixes disconnects mid race)

Go to:

Windows settings,

Date & Time,

Set the time automatically: On,

Sync now.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lastly, this message is to the devs, please make the most crucial fixes appear as a notification in the game, not all of us dive into discord to get this kind of vital information.

Also have the game track if someone didn't implement the important fixes and alert the player,

Have the game track if he got disconnected or game crash, and make the game suggest the fix.

I'm Confused, what do i do?

When i started playing LMU, I started out driving the GT3 only. I was told it was the easiest car to get into, and since LMU is my first sim, i ofc went with that. Now after driving LMP3 a fair share, and gotten really good at driving them (i would say), i tried a race with GT3 again, and i could not figure it out? Its confusing and frustrating, that what i once drove a whole lot, have not become a car i cant even turn correctly in?

On another note, was told LMP2 was almost the same as LMP3, but i cant seem to understand the correct way to drive them. Ofc when i practice LMP2, i do it offline, or in the practise servers when they are there, so i dont hurt anyone else with my awful LMP2 driving.

Can someone explain? Or is it simply just needing more practice in total?

Connectivity / Crashing Issues

Is it just me or does the game seem to crash a lot? It happens everyday. I’ve thrown like 6 races from the lead at this week’s Monza race. Idk if it’s the game or my internet.

Edit: Quick update. The good gentleman, u/M_QT5, has fixed all my issues. Usually 1 out of 3 races end in a DNF. Played for 4 hours and not a single disconnect. Be sure to check out his profile or his comment on this thread.

Happy racing, fellow LMU drivers.

Thought today would announce updates + tracks...

Yeah so I understood there'd be the announcement about the US tracks but also assumed they'd talk about up coming enhancements, updates, and fixes. Is this still coming or am I just making things up in my head?

With the US Track DLC coming soon, do you think we’ll see the ARX-06 and the Temerario GT3 in game?

I know there’s the issue with IMSA license but maybe they can just add the cars themselves without the livery and sponsors used by teams in IMSA and letting livery creators do their magic?

How am I expected to make it out of my rookie badge?

Every single race I’ve done so far, I’ve qualified mid field or better.

I’m immediately kamikazed in the first turn were I’m badly damaged and forced to race like this for 20+ mins.

Am I stuck in what feels like hell for the rest of time? What do I do to get out of these lobbies quicker?

Future LMU content: release order prediction

After the confirmed wonderful news that US tracks are coming to the sim, my prediction for the order of release is as follows:

PACK 1: Daytona & Laguna Seca - Mid July
PACK 2: Indianpolis & Road Atlanta - Early Sept
PACK 3: Watkins Glen & Long Beach - Early Nov

The IMSA events for both Indianapolis & Road Atlanta run in September & October respectively.
These periods also try to align with LMU’s special event calendar they released, many of the tracks being listed as ‘TBA.’

Special event calendar: https://lemansultimate.com/special-events-calendar-q3-4-2026/

Looking further ahead:
In 2027, the Ford Hypercar & Toyota GR GT3 look set to be released into the real world, the former being teased today. I forgot to mention the McLaren Hypercar too.

The ALMS series is gaining a lot of traction for next year, which could mean an additional circuit is used
The tracks most likely to feature in the calendar if they are able to take place are:
Sepang, Dubai & Abu Dhabi.
Another could be one from The Bend, Mandalika, Shanghai, or perhaps Fuji.
Shanghai could feature on the ALMS calendar in preparation for the rumoured WEC round in the future.
Hopefully Kyalami comes to the WEC calendar too in a few years time.

What are your predictions in terms of release dates, order, and future content?

What to Expect from a hiatus?

Okay so, I haven’t sim raced in almost 2 years. I was a fairly quick driver and generally a mid field top split driver in every league I was in, and at times, podium. My sims were ACC, RRRE and AMS2.

How different, if anyone knows, is LMU from those sims I used to race in and be very quick in.

My hiatus by the way was caused by an ex who got pissed when a league race what during a time she wanted to see me and spend time and always started a fight, and after we broke up, which has been since January of this year, I haven’t started back yet. But I am now
