Am I destined for a life of being midpack?

Got into sim racing again and more seriously than before (G920 on Xbox to Fanatec DD on PC) and really enjoying it, especially LMU online races.

Started off in rookie lobbies and would get podiums and even a few wins, loved it.

Now in the bronze daily races I’m usually split 1/2/3 out of 30 ish, which I assume is split on driver rating? (Although still bronze 2), and I consistently finish from 10th to 20th.

I still thoroughly enjoy these races but even a top 10 feels like a win to me, do I need to properly get quick to have a chance of winning again?

Not really sure what I’m asking just wondering what other peoples experiences have been with their own pace and how much they get on the podium 😁😁

Buying a Moza setup?

Before I pull the trigger on buying a full Moza setup I though I would seek some community input.

Originally I had a Thrustmaster t598 but returned it after about 100h of use after it started blipping the break and dropping connection on me causing my races to be ruined.

I am finally looking to get back in to racing and was looking at biting the bullet on a Moza R9 base with the KS Pro wheel and CRP2 pedal set. As well as getting a next level racing wheel stand 2.0 to support it all so I can play comfortably at my desk with out taking up to much space and just using my existing desk chair.

Can the screen on the KS Pro be configured to work in lmu for data read out? I would prefer to use the screen in place of the HUD if possible.

Are there still issues with Moza FFB support?

Can the shift light timing be configured on the wheel for my preferred shift point or is that fully controlled by the games output?

Is it worth getting the R12 over the R9 now so I'm not looking for more or wanting to upgrade in the future? I was able to test out the R9 with a KS in iRacing and it felt really good but couldn't try it in LMU.

If anyone has feedback on them before I make a purchase that would be appreciated.

I would also plan to use it in forza horizon 6 and other games if suitable but mainly for LMU at this stage. I would also like to be able to use it for Gran Turismo on the PS but I know it isn't supported and would require an adapter to get it working.

Rookies, help me understand

You start a Monza race after qualifying p18 with a 1:52.7. Race starts and you see a car starting from the pit lane. Fast forward two laps and said car is behind you and just clocked the fastest lap at 1:50.3. Your lappping at 1:52.5 to 1:53.2. You block and defend life and death with 15 minutes of the race left. After a bit of door rubbing the car passes, you then spin out trying to immediately keep up and come back. Help me understand whats going through your head

The game stutters constantly and persistently no matter what i do

So for the past half a year i have been fighting with LMU for my frames. It really surprises me why the game stutters so hard every online race, i am experiencing stutters every ~5 seconds. When i race offline though, it disappears. I tried everything pretty much, vsync, Nvidia control panel, unparking my cores, and way too many graphic and json file changes but nothing helps. I have no idea why the hell does tha game do the same thing under 70% cpu and gpu as with a 100% load. No other game does this, ac, acc, beamng. Its only LMU. Do any of you have a fix for this?

Specs (i have a laptop):

-i5-11400H

-32gb ram

-RTX 3050 laptop

Corvette fixed is a killer

Is trail braking in the corvette fixed set up a guaranteed way to spin out??

I find it impossible to trail brake without losing the rear only in the corvette, is the only safe way to drive is to lift and coast around corners?

Wanting to get better but feeling bad

I wanted to see if anyone else felt like this or maybe had an answer to a question below.

Its rough racing against someone who is clearly better than you but obviously not wanting to give up position. Im not an aggressive driver (or slow) by any means, consistent green badge typically which throws me into top split or split 2. Most folk tend to be faster than me but ill be damned if I let them through which sometime leads to hard racing. There has been instances where we rub paint and then it becomes a game of "oops my bad here's the position back". How do I respectfully tell these people, 'Its fine let's go let's go everybody is catching up to us while we play chicken"?

It becomes especially tricky when me and another driver are thousands off of each other's consistent pace. Constant diffuser sniffing, defensive maneuvers, etc.

Bit of a rant but curious if anyone else struggles with wanting relatively clean racing with some appropriate bumping throught an entire sprint event?

Intentional wrecking on the final lap while P3... by a guy in P17. Plus chat abuse. I'm speechless.

I was having a great, clean race and running in 3rd position on the final lap. Out of nowhere, a driver who was down in 17th place decided to wait for me and intentionally ram straight into my car, completely destroying my race meters away from the finish line.

Not only did he tank my Safety Rating (SR) for absolutely no reason, but he also started insulting me in the text chat right after doing it.

I've already submitted a formal report to RaceControl, but I wanted to share it here. How can people be this toxic?

Trouble progressing because I can't pick a car in LMU

Am I crazy or does anyone else have this problem.

Since I have started sim racing I've struggled with picking a car and sticking to it and I feel like I'm not progressing because of this.

This is how my brain works. I love the BMW M4. Just my opinion but I think it is a bad ass looking car. It is probably my favorite look BMW ever made. So I think I should pick that one.

I'm a F1 fan and a fan of Red Bull Racing and Max. So I'm thinking of going with the mustang to support Ford Racing. With that being said I naturally cannot drive a Mercedes, Ferrari, or Aston Martin (plus I hate Lance Stroll).

So that narrows it down to the Corvette, Lexus, and Porsche left. I prefer Ford over Chevrolet, so that takes the Corvette out. I feel like everyone uses the Porsche, so I don't want to use that. The thing I can find about the Lexus that stops me using it is that a lot of other sims don't offer it, because I would like to use the same car across the board.

These are some of the things I think about when trying to land on a car. I feel like I'm not progressing as fast as I should because I constantly switch cars.

Lamborghini Huracan

I have LMU and have all of the DLC's, but for some reason I don't have the Lamborghini Huracan GT3. Do any of you know why I don't have it if I have all of the DLC's? Thanks for your replies.

Graphics help. Seems like setup is bottlenecking

Hello everyone, quick question about grapics settings.

I have an rtx3060 and a ryzen7 3800x

My monitor is a 1440p and the game is not running the greatest. Im getting about 50 frames and the game will start to stutter after a longer session.

Temps look fine a little warm, but not crazy by any means. And neither GPU or CPU shows that its peaking when racing 75%, but it seems like my computer just cant handle it.

Is there any good way of reducing pixel density to something like 1080, but not scale down the picture itself, so i can keep using the wider monitor.

I know DLSS is a common thing for this issue, but this game doesnt have it.

I'm just not educated in this department, and didnt know if there is a way to do it in widows, nvidia app, or another software.

I only run LMU on my rig as of right now if that makes any solutions easier.

Thanks

FFB difference in LMUs GT3s

Would you consider Lamborghini GT3 ffb best, and AMG GT3 ffb worst, or you have different ratings? Considering only GT3s. Interested in your thoughts. Of course, if you keep all ingame and wheelbase settings fixed.

Getting into Hypercar - any tips?

Hello! I’ve been driving GT3s for quite awhile, decided to give GTP’s (499P) a run and will be doing some races in the next few days.

I have a couple hundred hours logged on GTP’s in iRacing so in terms of handling the transition isn’t too tricky, but I’m aware their hybrid system works differently than iRacing. Any tips on energy management or motor map/regen settings? I understand that ideally you’d like to be around 50% charge to maintain optimal braking, just looking for some tips on getting the most out of the hybrid system.

TIA :)

First time silver rank

I just wanted to share my stats. I'm new to sim racing; I started with ACC in December 2025 and, two months ago, with Le Mans Ultimate. I still have a lot to learn, but I want to let you know it feels nice when you realize that you are improving every day if you race smoothly and safely.
