I guess no LMU for me today
I did the uninstalling and reinstalling of EAC, restarted PC, verified integrity of files, etc.

"Hi everyone,
As always, we appreciate your feedback on our latest release. It’s been a little rocky, and we’ve made fixes as fast as we can. You can see all of the various patches and hotfixes since 1.4 here.
Today in 1.4.1.3 we are reverting some changes to the network protocol for the game to the previous versions found since launch. We know that one of the reasons you love LMU is the amazing netcode that allows you to race closer than others. Whilst we thought we had resolved initial feedback in 1.4.1.0 it’s clear that there’s still more to do for some users with particular connection types.
To clear up some confusion on the technical side, much of the game traffic is sent identically to before 1.4. However, there does appear to be some interference in some situations with our latest change.
As for RUDP’s future – it’s not being abandoned. We still believe that this is a positive step on disconnect rates (and can solve problems we never would be able to without it) but need to work on the way this is shown on your screens. So we’re going to continue this work and allow you to contribute. We’ve designed a way to allow us to hold RUDP testing sessions directly in the public version of the game you have whilst allowing other servers to use the tried and tested protocols we’ve been using until now. There is no technical reason the “RUDP” changes can’t succeed, but it clearly needs more time to mature.
So in the coming weeks we’ll begin to host these test events. Participation isn’t mandatory, we don’t need huge numbers, but ideally a good spread of users across the globe. More on this later.
We’re also committing to our next release, with two more amazing US circuits, currently scheduled in late September to be wholly committed to tidying up – bugs, design issues and underlying issues. We won’t be holding back critical fixes however, and will still work on delivering those as fast as we can."
Everyone always walks about the Porsche requiring a unique driving style compared to other cars due to being rear-engined, but I've had trouble finding any breakdown of exactly what that driving style should look like. Based on this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/LeMansUltimateWEC/s/LTksy0hwTn and a couple of others, I've heard a few pointers, but some seem contradictory to me?
-Separate brake, steering, and throttle inputs as much as possible so the tires are only doing "one thing at a time"
-Do most of your braking in a straight line, with little to no trail braking
-Coast into corners taking advantage of the power-off rotation, BUT some people also say you should never be totally off the gas and you always want a little bit of "maintenance" throttle because being totally off throttle upsets the car?
-Try to accelerate earlier coming out of the corner than other cars to take advantage of grip as the car squats down on the rear wheels, BUT people also say if you nail the throttle on exit you'll lose the rear?
-Avoid mid-corner corrections with braking while the wheel is turned, you have to get your line through the corner right and commit to it, BUT I've also seen people talk about modulating brake and throttle through the corner?
Unlike the OP in the linked thread, I don't really have issues with the car spinning out, and I find some of the things people say about the Porsche driving style kind of align with the way I tend to drive naturally anyway. But I'm also not at all fast (though in my defense I've only gotten back to sim racing in the past couple months after not doing any since a little dabbling 20 years ago), and I feel like since I'm neither fast nor having trouble with the car that's supposedly so hard to drive that must mean I'm driving it wrong. IE, if I was driving it right, I would be getting faster laps out of it when things worked but also losing control when things don't work out, rather than running consistent drama-free but slow laps, if that makes any sense. I spin less in the Porsche than some other cars, but my lap times in it are about the same as other cars, too.
So Devs just announced they're reverting some of the aspects of the Network Protocol which I presume means they're simply going back to TCP. For me personally I've had two incidents only related to Netcode ever since the change but I said goodbye to constant disconnects. Guess it's back to business starting today 😢 it feels like a change out of pure panic IMO
At this point I'm just mad. LMU is by far my favorite Sim (and my only one right now), and not being able to race properly is very discouraging.
Don't know what happened exactly. I know about 1.4 update but I had a 30-40 days hiatus because of heavy work. Last week already went down to averaging 70-80 fps on Daytona, but I thought it was a Daytona thing.
But now I just came from a race in Silverstone national, and I average 55 FPS, going down to 40 fps and having the car doing some weird stuff.
What is going on? LMU used to perform really well up to a month ago.
Is this getting fixed?
I don't understand why are they touching all this stuff. If its working, dont fix it.
Am I the only one having this performance issue?
Since 1.4.1 update I can't start the game. It just says the game is already active.
Things I have tried;
Reinstalling LMU completely.
Deleting EAC folder in LMU steam folder.
Uninstalling and reinstalling EAC.
Starting without any other programs/layouts running.
Starting everything in admin mode.
Starting game from protected mode shortcut in LMU Folder.
The shortcut to normal LMU is working, but then EAC does not start so I can't play online.
They need to fix this ASAP, or does anyone have a fix?
So today after the update easy anti cheat gives me the error that the game is already running (even with restarting the PC)
Or in VR it's stuck in a boot loop with easy anti cheat
It tells me to confirm that I am starting it with +VR command
I confirm... EAC boots... Thing to confirm pops up again
Help please
I am just trying to play the game and I have even tried to uninstall EAC and reinstall
Verified integrity of the game files
Been sim racing for a while now and ive kinda been craving the thrill of competing in events that dont just mean sr or dr like winning in a daily race is fun and all but nothing beats winning in like an actual competitive race.(idk if that makes sense)
Also if the races get streamed that would be pretty cool too lol

Looking for a team on Le Mans Ultimate. I’ve only been playing for around a month but I’m currently Bronze 3 DR and Bronze 3 SR. So far I’ve done 46 races with 4 wins, 11 podiums, 17 top-5 finishes, 2 poles and 2 fastest laps. Still improving and getting quicker, but I’m looking for a friendly but competitive team to race with, learn from and hopefully get involved in some team/endurance events. 🏁
Hi guys ive been having problems during over 30 minute long races in lmu since the 1.3 update before that i didnt have any of these problems so basicaly what happens is this:
The framerate is completely stable for 30 minutes with not even frametiming issues but after the first 30 minutes no matter what track and car during online and offline races my games starts to freeze nearly every lap in specific corners or straights on every track and this isnt a normal stutter when the game freezes it completely cuts off all ffb for a split second which caused me to DNF and almost DNF again 3 times during multiclass races
I have tried nearly all graphics settings and between high medium low and lowest it makes no difference
My fps is normaly around 100 to 130 on high settings but I normaly cap the framerate to 60 fps for stability but the game freezes still happen even when the fps is capped
Temps remain normal during the freezes and are actualy lower than at the start of the race.
I know my hardware isnt high-end but i think it should be still enough to allow me to race comfortably and my raw performance isnt the main issue.
Ive got:
Rtx 4060 mobile gpu
intel i7 12700h cpu
32gb of ddr4 ram
And enough storage
Has anyone else ever had these issues?
And id welcome any suggestions to solve this problem? its a really big roadblock againts me trying to improve in LMU
Is there any way to do a custom livery offline without paying the subscription?
Sat down after a long day of work to try and get a race in only to be stopped by an error message saying openXR isn’t supported and now I can’t play the game for the foreseeable future. Thank you studio 397 for taking a boat load of money to simply turn around and release game breaking updates without testing them.
A real pleasure as always.
Relevant details: I use a Pimax crystal light and today’s EAC update has bricked VR.
I'm new, and I use the racing line. And I gained 2.25/3.00 incident twice due to pit entry track limits in sebring. It's my fault I know but isn't it really harsh? I cut eau rouge and gain 0.25 or 0.5 this tanked me from bronze 2 to almost bronze 0.
Related question, how do you get strategy insights in this game? I thought crewchief would recommend stuff but all it does is car left car right and you have cold tires. I feel like it worked much better in iracing.
Look im in Gold SR but man the dlc has been out for a few weeks now and the majority of player base race in bronze. less and less people have been doing the new tracks because they've either been in silver or gold(plus again 3 weeks now). but what about all the other people that have bought the dlc and are in bronze. yeah they could get there rating up but a bunch of people aren't fortunate enough to get the rating up quick, so there stuck not being able to play the dlc online. So LMU devs, when ya moving it to bronze.
The VE is set to 70% in the WEC-experience with a reason? U have to stop for fuel now I quess. Does someone want to explain to me what it all means? The less fuel u bring, the lighter/faster u are. And u don't want to run out of VE, I understand.
Is it your advice to mess around with the fuel ratio? I always keep at max allowed but is that the fastest way? Thank u
