Is there a way to fix bad frame pacing?

Im not sure if it’s my laptop’s problem since this only happens in LMU. I can get 100+ FPS but the frames are never smooth. I play on a 60 hz monitor so I cap my frames at that but my 99% FPS are always in the 30’s-40’s.

I’ve tried using vsync, driver-level vsync and frame caps but it’s the same. It really only happens on this game and changing graphics settings doesn’t seem to help.

For reference I have a Ryzen 7 7735hs, RX7700s, 64 RAM.

Is there a way to have greater control of the cockpit FOV?

I’ve been playing racing games for a while now and finding the correct FOV has always been easy other titles but the FOV on the F1 game just goes from -20 to 20. No real degrees. And -20 is still too wide for my configuration.

For example, the FOV I use in LMU, AC, and AC EVO is 29° and -20 on the F1 25 FOV does look close but it’s not low enough.

I saw something about modifying .erp files but it seems a bit complicated and I couldn’t find enough information to do it.

Has anyone found a solution for this? I know I can’t be the only one facing this problem.

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 PRO

GPU Drivers: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.4 Driver

Chipset Drivers: latest ig

Background Applications: windows bloatware

Description of Original Problem: Metrics overlay completely disappeared from the "metrics" tab. gone, simply gone.

Troubleshooting: factory reset, cleanup utility, importing previous settings, punching screen every 3-5 minutes, praying.

I hate adrenalin software.
