Can't figure out some things

  1. How do I move a category to a different category group?

  2. Is "Payee" always mandatory? I enter transactions manually, and I usually skip this step, I only use it to track my income sources. Is there a way to let it save my transaction without payee?

Why is it important for you to avoid even 0.001% animal products?

I’m trying to go vegan, used to be a vegetarian before. But I’ve always looked at it in terms of demand/supply, and my influence on the world in general. So if something has 0.001% of milk, or it’s instant noodles with a bit of dried meat, and there aren’t other options, I just don’t care because I don’t see how it changes the big picture, and it doesn’t make me disgusted.

On the other hand I have a vegan friend who’s really strict about not eating anything with even a hint of animal products, even if it was already bought.

I don’t want to offend her but it’s just hard for me to understand. What is the reasoning behind it? Is it because you find it disgusting?

EDIT: I’m not asking for your opinions on my choices. What I am asking is - are you thinking about veganism in terms of supply and demand, or are you genuinely grossed out by any amount of animal products? Or is there some third opinion that I didn’t consider?

Recommended reading for a new freelancer?

I recently became a freelancer, and the amount of management, planning, financial planning etc that goes into it is overwhelming (though I really enjoy the process!)

Idk if that’s relevant, but for now my client stream is word of mouth

what are some books or other resources you would recommend? I’m interested in

- improving my planning and organising

- client communication and agreements

- automating the process of communication and briefing as much as possible

- financial planning (how to count my rate realistically, make sure I have a vacation and a sick leave and tech amortisation, when and how to raise my rates depending on some new education and experience etc

⚠️ I’m non-US so please don’t recommend anything that’s US specific
