How to deal with more experienced fighters using newbies such as me as a punching bag? No fair play, no apologies after. Plain face as he was light sparring as usual.

It happened two times yesterday, both by the end of the round, like he was waiting the end of the round to throw with more force.

Im larger and taller than him by little. Im 182cm and 85kg.

I already light sparred him in the past and knew that he tends to hard spar more than often.

When he threw the first heavier blow, backed up and quit sparring.

Then when rotation put matched us again, I told I was good.

Then, when rotation once more put us together, I went in very prepared and expecting heavier blows. But I was thinking that:

- even though he is an asshole, I could still use him to my profit, focusing on learning.

Again, by the end of the round, he threw a one, two way above the light sparring level.

I looked up to my coach and he said nothing.

I plan to not sparr this bum again.

Is this the right way to deal with it?

Im there to learn. And im up to trade 100% force with him given that we both use helmets.

That was not the training yesterday. It was supposed to be light sparring damn it.

I too have some issues with hitting had on light sparring, but I sense im getting better in not throwing that hard. I also feel myself getting better. I slipped some good jabs and was controlling pace of the sparr. Which makes me think he felt those on his ego and wanted to put myself "in my place" so to speak...

How do you deal with this type of fighters in your gym?
