anyone have tv shows/movies with main characters who are vegan?

hey! as mentioned in the title, i’m looking for (primarily shows, but also movies) with vegan protagonists or main characters. i’m not really looking for anything where veganism is a major plot (though if you have recommendations relevant to that i’m still interested!), just where it’s a casual thing that’s mentioned occasionally, if that exists at all. the closest ive found is bones, as an example: brennan, the protagonist, is vegetarian (though the actor who plays her is vegan), and there’s the occasional episode on animal agriculture, but for the most part her vegetarianism is just something mentioned occasionally, such as when people come over for food.

i’m not sure if this is something too specific, but i hope shows like this do exist! i think media portraying and normalising veganism in this way is so powerful, and i’d love there to be more of it ^^

positive mirena insertion story!

hey! i just had the mirena IUD put in yesterday and i had such a positive experience, so i wanted to share it in case anyone else is considering it! i got my mirena for painful periods, and a lot of the pain i felt was very similar to period pains, though usually not as bad. i'm not able to take painkillers, but i did have local anaesthetic.

i was given the choice between a spray and a gel as local anaesthetic, i was told the spray is more effective but can cause vaginal irritation. i chose that, and had no irritation, though it was a bit tingly when it was first sprayed (faded after about 30 seconds). the actual insertion process was about 5 minutes; apparently mine was slightly longer/harder to do than usual, because i have a small cervix, so they had to keep dilating it. i experienced about 3-5 minutes of mild discomfort (i struggle to describe what it felt like; maybe a mild pinching?) but the spray was incredibly effective. the actual insertion was about 30 seconds of pain, very similar to a period cramp but of course way shorter.

i felt fine immediately after, and walked home. once i got home i started having some pretty bad cramps (again, very similar to period cramps). this lasted about 4 hours until i fell asleep. i slept about 8 hours, and when i woke up the cramping had finished. it's now been about 24 hours since the insertion, and i genuinely wouldn't know it had happened. i've also had no spotting or bleeding of any kind. now i just gotta hope that it actually works to deal with my periods !!
