I’m writing a story where the main character is half Japanese and half Italian (who lives in and was born in America). I am not Japanese myself so I’d like to know if anyone has advice/ information about the culture and how I can include it in the story. I also want it know how to write him in a way that shows he is an intelligent person without it seeming like the “Asian people are smart” trope.
