New Pick Ups

Finally got my hands on Something Is Killing the Children #1! 🔥

When I first started collecting, issue #1 was one of the books I wanted the most. I managed to collect every issue except #1 and #6, so finding #1 for an absolute steal was a huge win. It’s a 9.2, which isn’t quite the grade I was hoping for, but honestly, I’m still extremely happy with the purchase.

And to top it off, I was able to snag the novel early on eBay as well! Definitely a great addition to the collection. 🔥🔥

(If Anyone Has Issue 6 please PM)💪

Supergirl pre order

So, I really want the Supergirl HT, but I’m not sure how pre-orders work. I just checked, and the figure is supposed to come out sometime between July and December. Could it potentially come out this month? If so, should I wait until people have them in hand or just pre-order now? I also heard they come in waves after you pre-order.

Did I do the right thing by requesting a refund, or am I in the wrong?

I buy a lot of comics on Whatnot and have honestly never had an issue before. This was my first purchase from this particular seller. I paid about what a copy in the 8.5–9.0 range would typically sell for.

During the live stream, the seller didn’t give an exact grade, but he did say the comic only had “one spine tick” and briefly showed the front cover. When the comic arrived, I noticed multiple spine ticks along the back cover, as well as a noticeable crease across the Batman logo on the front that wasn’t visible during the stream. On top of that, there was a “5.0” sticker on the back of the comic when I received it.

I normally don’t like requesting refunds because I believe you should accept what you buy. However, in this case, I felt the comic’s condition was significantly different from how it was represented during the stream, especially considering the price I paid.
I contacted Whatnot support and requested a refund under “item not as described.”
Was I justified in doing that, or should I have just accepted it as part of buying comics through live streams?
