[ISU Scholarship] Dilemma on Low Family Income vs. Visa Minimum Threshold

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a high school student aiming for Bocconi University in the near future. While researching the ISU scholarship, I hit a dilemma regarding the financial documents and would love to get your advice.

My household has 6 members (including my grandparents and an uncle with a chronic illness). My parents' actual income is quite low, around 10 million VND/month (~4,400 EUR/year).

I know this low income will guarantee a highly competitive ISEE-U score. However, I’m deeply concerned that it falls below the minimum financial threshold required by the Italian Embassy/CAF for a 6-person family, which might risk a visa or document rejection. For those who applied, should I keep the papers exactly as they are and explain our low cost of living, or should I declare a slightly higher, safer income range (e.g., 200M–250M VND/year) to secure the visa while still staying well within the highest ISU bracket?

I’d be incredibly grateful for any advice or insights from your past experiences. Thank you so much!"
