Bocconi Exchange or Internship

I am entering my second year of BIEM and trying to decide whether to prepare for exchange or take a curricular internship. I have an internship next summer in France, but I am a US citizen to managing my visas and permesso is quite complicated. To renew my passport, keep my permesso valid and get 2 visas would be hard to do but not impossible.

I would not be opposed to exchange as I would be able to convert up to 5 courses, however an internship would be more convenient. That being said, an internship allows for only 6 credits and I would still be responsible for my first semester classes. That would force me to take several generals in the second semester which is inconvenient for graduation. I suppose I could do neither; just focus on my summer internship and return normally in 3rd year but I am concerned I would not be making the most of Bocconi.

Hi, im an international student and got 43 in bocconi test. I will apply for biem and bief. But I don't think I can apply for the ISU scholarship because I've already attended university. Can I apply Bocconi 4 access aid ? And which one is more powerful ?

Do I risk it? (+ job prospects after BAI?)

This is a weird question but ill be applying to Bocconi and École Polytechnique bachelors. And there is an issue with the timing because I can only apply during the winter round for l'X (cause of the interview and other reasons). But im also scared I won't get into neither of the unis (since I'll likely have to apply to Bocconi winter session, pay the deposit while I wait for the l'X results).

Im looking at BAI (and BEMACS). If anyone was in this position,is it worth it risking my Bocconi app for l'X bachelors? Would l'X bachelors give me better opportunities for hedge funds/tech PE than BAI? Also think its important to note that to get job exp in France id need a masters after (or at least according to the French).

Im not Italian/French (im EE) so the job market will probably be tough in both countries.. Im not necessarily looking at working in Europe (I mean its not my target). im moreso interested in East Asia (China/Singapore). Probably weird studying in Europe for EA market but it seems to be saturated with brilliant NUS and HKU grads.

If any BAI students can give their opinion id be incredibly grateful.

For reference my GPA is 10 and 9.9. I'll be doing my first SAT this Saturday, expecting ~1460. Can bring it up to 1500+ probably by October/Sept if I try hard.

Do I have a chance

I was never really involved nor cared about my grades during highschool because it was never an idea to study abroad, (in my country gpa isn't really important), but now I would really like to apply to bocconi, sadly my GPA is 70/100 but my sat is 1560, I had an internship in TaleWorlds as an swe in HS and had 3 years of robotics club and sm more extracurriculars( I enjoyed getting involved with the thing instead of just memorizing formulas). So here I am fighting with probabilities for the BEMACS bachelor. I really am just looking for a chance to show that I can, and yes I regret about neglecting my grades during HS

What should I score for BAI

I’m a non native speaker and my english is around b2, but my math is very well(rw=540 math=800). I want to study in bocconi lot. So I am not studying for my own country’s exam and instead of it I am stufying for SAT, but I cant score over 1300 and I have exam 3 days later. I solve the bocconi practise test 3 and score 38 without fully concencrate. So I think I will take Bocconi test.
What should I need to score with 95.5 gpa for BAI?
Am I doing right?

Am i getting in???🫩🫩

16 year old International A levels student, applying in winter. (Will be 17 in dec)

I think my gpa should be 9.125 but im not sure, italy has a pretty weird gpa system.

AS level- 3A1B (Was 10-15 marks over A threshold for the 3) 38/40?? = 9.5 gpa?
Olevels- 3A*1A2B2C (C were in local language and religious studies) 70/80?? = 8.75 gpa?

Giving the SAT in November, hoping for something around 1500 on the SAT.

Wanna do either Business management or Econ and finance.

Will prolly need full financial aid, housing and stipend. (4 person household, 30k usd a year).

I heard EC’s dont matter in italy but…

1- Can powerlift a total of 420kg at 16, weighing 75kg
2- Did a 6 week finance internship at one of my countries biggest real estate management companies.
3- Been rowing for an year now, participated in 3 local regattas
4- Peer tutoring economics and accounting
5- Aim to make a measurable impact in my community by, firstly helping local businesses cut down on costs by educating them on accounting and finance and secondly running a fitness initiative and educating people on training and nutrition.
Might do something else as well like another internship or volunteering maybe…

Bocconi is top 100 in the world i think, italy’s also very willing to bless foreign students with financial aid.

Anyone know how Bocconi convert our GPA in the scale of 4 in Bocconi GPA?

Hi guys. My 2nd last GPA is 3.69, and my 3rd last GPA is 3.73.

Anyone knows how is Bocconi going to convert GPA in scale of 4 like those to their Bocconi GPA which is in scale of 10?

Also, my cumulative GPA includes PE (cuz I can't remove it due to policy of country I stay)

I'd be delighted if anyone who has used GPA caluclator in Bocconi portal giving info🙏

Taking a gap year before Bocconi?

Hi,

My name is Naomi and I am from Canada. I will be 18 years old when I graduate, but I recently found out Italians have an extra year of schooling. It’s important to me to integrate and build a future in Italy for myself. Would it be alright if I took a gap? Or unacceptable?

How competitive is it to get into BAI?

Applying to Mathematical and Computing Sciences for AI (BAI) for 2027-28, Early Session. Trying to get a realistic read before I commit.

My profile:

- SAT 1390 (710 Math, 680 RW)

- ~16/20 average in Lebanese Bac years (basically 4.0 gpa because of harsher correction similar to french bac)

- International applicant

I know it's 55% test / 45% GPA and only 115 seats, and that BAI skews more quantitative than the other English programs. What I can't tell is whether a 710 Math is a dealbreaker when everyone else seems to be posting 750+.

For anyone admitted to BAI (any year): what were your test score and GPA? Did you use the SAT or the Bocconi online test?

Also considering sitting the Bocconi test as a second shot since the portal takes the higher score. Worth it, or is 5 weeks not enough prep?

Bocconi test advices

Hi, I'm an international applicant aiming to apply to BGL during the early session. My gpa is 10 in both years and I have been studying for Bocconi Law Test almost for three months. I'll take the test in early september. I use thefaculty app for studying but I noticed that the difficulty of questions are very different in official simulations compared to thefaculty drills. If you have taken the test, which sections did you find easier/harder? Or do you have any advices? What should I consider before taking the exam? Any type of recommendation would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!

Chances for Bocconi MiF Merit Scholarship with 3.59 GPA and 805 GMAT?

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for Bocconi MiF this year. My gpa is 3.59/4 with A+ in all finance-related subjects (in econometrics i got 100/100 for example) and I recently wrote my GMAT and got an 805. What are my chances for a 100% Merit Scholarship or Women award? Thanks!

Test Bocconi Magistrale Media Bassa

Ciao a tutti.

Visa refusal and 2nd application

Hi, my Italian student visa was refused and I now have a new appointment for a second application.
Has anyone at Bocconi been in the same situation and successfully received the visa after reapplying? Also, did the first refusal cause any issue with your enrollment?
Thanks

How do you study for the bocconi test?

I’m an IBDP Y2 student and planning on applying to bocconi this September, I want to know how to study for the test because I can’t give my SATs in September as I have semester exams. So I wanted to know how to prep and if you have any tips. Also what would be a good score for getting into finance.

Bocconi online test

Hi everyone, I’m planning to apply for a Master’s program at Bocconi and will therefore be taking the Bocconi Online Test at graduate level. Does anyone here have experience with the test? I’d be particularly interested in hearing how you prepared for the different sections beyond the official practice tests, which resources or platforms you found most useful, and how much preparation time you would recommend. I’d also be curious to know how difficult the actual test was compared with the official practice tests and what exactly was different, for example in terms of question types, difficulty, time pressure, or the overall structure. Thanks in advance for any advice or insights!
