  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

You might also have

  • Experience with the Unity Engine or other interactive 3D tools
  • Experience in a QA role within the games or interactive media industry
  • Experience with backend or API testing
  • Experience building or contributing to automated test procedures

Additional information

[HIRING] Software Engineer, API SDK - OpenAI

**Software Engineer, API SDK**: Develop and maintain OpenAI's official SDKs powering its leading AI development platform. Responsibilities include designing optimal SDK experiences for new API features, supporting multi-language compatibility (Python, Node.js, Golang, Java, Ruby), and enhancing developer experience. Required skills: SDK design, proficiency in multiple programming languages, familiarity with AI development platforms, and a passionate commitment to improving the world through AI. Preferred: previous SDK development experience.

About the Team

Our team brings OpenAI’s most capable technology to the world through our developer platform: the OpenAI API. As the leading AI development platform, our API is used by millions of developers and the majority of enterprises around the world, and powers the majority of AI applications that you may use on a daily basis. The platform supports everything from simple model calls to stateful, multimodal, tool-using applications through the Responses API, Agents SDK, Realtime API, and more. Our SDKs turn that fast-moving platform into reliable, idiomatic developer experiences across languages.

About the Role

We are looking for a software engineer to help build the official SDKs that power the OpenAI API. Currently offered in Python, Node.js, Golang, Java, and Ruby – our SDKs are some of the most popular in the world. You will help shape the developer experience for all new API features, as well as all future versions of our APIs. We are looking for engineers who will sweat the details about SDK design, who love building for AI developers, and who believe in the potential for AI to transform the world for the better. Prior experience building SDKs is lovely, but not absolutely necessary.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and implement the SDK experience for all new API features, as well as all future versions of our API.
  • Build and maintain our systems to make SDK maintenance and generation streamlined and automated.
  • Contribute to our SDK strategy and roadmap, including which languages to support and what features to support.
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the API team, our Developer Experience team, and our GTM team to make our SDKs the best in the world.
  • Work directly with developers adding features, fixing issues, and contributing to documentation.

Your background might look something like:

  • 7+ years of professional engineering experience (excluding internships) in relevant roles at tech and product-driven companies
  • You love building for other developers, and thrive on feedback from opinionated users
  • You thrive working in the open source community, and love engaging directly with developers
  • You can thrive and operate independently in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous requirements and goals
  • You are an engineer at heart, but are willing to lean into product decisions
  • You have previous experience maintaining SDKs or building SDK generation software

Compensation Range: $293K - $385K USD

Do you REALLY know how to interview?

Interviewing is a skill. Anyone can learn how to be more effective, confident and land the offer. Communication as well as interpersonal skills are crucial, and ideally you have built these over the course of your studies. However, to many it doesn't come natural at all, in fact, far from it.

When it comes to mock interviews, practice makes perfect indeed. But ONLY if you do it in a targeted way. You want correct, objective feedback and not what you WANT to hear (but rather, what you NEED to hear). Friends will more often than not do the former.

That's why I built a platform 2 years ago that can supercharge anyone's interviewing skills within DAYS. It will analyze your tone, body language/facial expressions and content of what you say and provides a personalised report on how you can improve. It can generate questions for any role, and let you play back your answers. I'm biased, but it's honestly MILES ahead of many other mock interviewing platforms, that tend to charge high and offer a very mediocre product.

It has a highly advanced, state-of-the-art backend and over 1,000 mock interviews had been conducted on it so far. Excellent feedback from customers, and users managed to land impressive offers just by having a subscription and grinding their way through on it regularly.

If you are interesting in knowing the name, DM me! I can't put the link here because of sub rules, but it's a genuinely useful tool and I'm sure you are going to love it.

Join me as a cofounder to revolutionise road planning in the UK

I’m seeking a cofounder for equal (50% equity) to join my AI road planning B2B startup to do sales/business dev. The MVP is 100% ready to accept the first user, and we already had great feedback from an engineering consultancy, saying they can use the MVP as is and will pay for it. I partnered with an experienced road planner from the Midlans however due to personal issues he decided to leave and give up his equity stake. So I now have a working MVP but no one to sell it (I retain 100% ownership of the product).

Im a London based senior software engineer with 10 years of experience.

This is a great opportunity and potentially very lucrative, I just need someone who knows this industry and preferably has an existing network to market to

I asked AI to summarise the current capabilities of the MVP:

What it is: An end-to-end digital platform for planning, conducting, and reporting Active Travel & Highway Safety scheme assessments — replacing manual spreadsheets, paper forms, and disconnected GIS tools with one collaborative workspace.

Core Scheme Capabilities

1. Scheme Creation & Management

  • Create schemes under client/project hierarchies with assigned assessors, regions, and budgets.
  • Multi-user collaboration: assign multiple assessors per scheme, with comments, status tracking, and audit trails (created/updated timestamps).
  • Centralised dashboard showing every scheme's progress, owner, and state.

2. Route Segmentation & Enrichment

  • Define a scheme's geometry by drawing or importing a route, then automatically split it into analysable segments.
  • One-click AI enrichment pulls in contextual data (road class, speed limits, traffic volume, kerbside activity, surface type, lighting, gradient, etc.) per segment.
  • Built-in walking/cycling route generation for active travel planning.

3. Full ATE/LTN 1/20-Style Check Library

The platform ships with the standard suite of Active Travel England Safety Assessment (SA) and Suitability (ST) checks, each tracked independently with its own state, comments, and results:

  • SA01 – Side Roads & Priority Junctions
  • SA02 – Roundabouts & Signal-Controlled Junctions
  • SA03 – Carriageway / Cycle Width Conflict Risk
  • SA04 – Trip Hazards
  • SA05 – Cyclist Conflict with Kerbside Activity
  • SA06 – Provision of Crossings
  • SA08 – Motor Traffic Volume
  • SA09 – Motor Traffic Speed
  • SA14 – Cycling Surface Defects
  • SA15 – Walking/Wheeling Surface Defects (incl. combined SA13/15)
  • SA16 – Guardrails & Pedestrian Crossings
  • ST17 – Gradient
  • ST19 – Barriers
  • ST20 – Bus Stops
  • ST22 – Access to Taxis & Blue Badge Parking
  • ST24 – Cycling Surface Material
  • ST27 – Deviation of Cycle Route
  • ST36 – Lighting

4. AI-Powered Analysis

  • Run an individual check or "Analyze All" in a single click — the system evaluates each segment against the relevant criteria and returns pass/fail, severity, and rationale.
  • A built-in AI chat assistant lets assessors interrogate scheme data, ask clarifying questions, or get recommendations contextually.
  • Robust retry mechanism ensures long analyses complete reliably (no lost work on flaky connections).

5. Reporting & Export

  • One-click Excel report generation in the standard ATE submission format — ready to deliver to local authorities or funding bodies.
  • Per-check comment threads and result sets stay attached to the scheme for full traceability.

6. Real-Time Collaboration

  • Live WebSocket sync so multi-assessor teams see each other's edits, comments, and analysis results instantly.

The Pitch in One Line

> "StVision turns a 3-week, spreadsheet-heavy ATE scheme assessment into a 3-day, AI-assisted, audit-ready workflow — covering every SA and ST check from segmentation to signed-off Excel deliverable."

Ideal clients: highway authorities, active travel consultancies, transport planning firms, LTN/LCWIP delivery teams, and any organisation submitting schemes to Active Travel England.

Please DM me if you are interested to see a quick demo and see if we can collaborate together on taking this to market and save engineering consultancies a TON of time. Also, it is a huge market (all local councils in the UK can use it).

3. Full ATE/LTN 1/20-Style Check Library

The platform ships with the standard suite of Active Travel England Safety Assessment (SA) and Suitability (ST) checks, each tracked independently with its own state, comments, and results:

  • SA01 – Side Roads & Priority Junctions
  • SA02 – Roundabouts & Signal-Controlled Junctions
  • SA03 – Carriageway / Cycle Width Conflict Risk
  • SA04 – Trip Hazards
  • SA05 – Cyclist Conflict with Kerbside Activity
  • SA06 – Provision of Crossings
  • SA08 – Motor Traffic Volume
  • SA09 – Motor Traffic Speed
  • SA14 – Cycling Surface Defects
  • SA15 – Walking/Wheeling Surface Defects (incl. combined SA13/15)
  • SA16 – Guardrails & Pedestrian Crossings
  • ST17 – Gradient
  • ST19 – Barriers
  • ST20 – Bus Stops
  • ST22 – Access to Taxis & Blue Badge Parking
  • ST24 – Cycling Surface Material
  • ST27 – Deviation of Cycle Route
  • ST36 – Lighting

4. AI-Powered Analysis

  • Run an individual check or "Analyze All" in a single click — the system evaluates each segment against the relevant criteria and returns pass/fail, severity, and rationale.
  • A built-in AI chat assistant lets assessors interrogate scheme data, ask clarifying questions, or get recommendations contextually.
  • Robust retry mechanism ensures long analyses complete reliably (no lost work on flaky connections).

5. Reporting & Export

  • One-click Excel report generation in the standard ATE submission format — ready to deliver to local authorities or funding bodies.
  • Per-check comment threads and result sets stay attached to the scheme for full traceability.

6. Real-Time Collaboration

  • Live WebSocket sync so multi-assessor teams see each other's edits, comments, and analysis results instantly.

The Pitch in One Line

> "Turns a 3-week, spreadsheet-heavy ATE scheme assessment into a 3-day, AI-assisted, audit-ready workflow — covering every SA and ST check from segmentation to signed-off Excel deliverable."

Ideal clients: highway authorities, active travel consultancies, transport planning firms, LTN/LCWIP delivery teams, and any organisation submitting schemes to Active Travel England.

Join me as a co-founder to revolutionise road planning in the UK

I’m seeking a cofounder for equal (50% equity) to join my AI road planning B2B startup to do sales/business dev. The MVP is 100% done and ready to onboard the first user. We already had great feedback from an engineering consultancy, they said they can use the MVP as is and will pay for it.

I partnered with an experienced road planner from the Midlans however due to personal reasons he decided to leave and give up his equity stake. So I now have a working MVP but no one who will sell it. I retain 100% ownership of the product and want to focus on the tech side.

Im a London based senior software engineer with 10 years of experience and had been building this part-time for 4 months now.

This is a great opportunity to bring AI to this industry, I just need someone who knows this space very well, pain points and preferably has an existing network to market to.

DM me if you are interested to see a quick demo and see if we can collaborate together on taking this to market and save engineering consultancies a TON of time. Also, it is a huge market (all local councils in the UK can use it).

I asked AI to summarise the current capabilities of the MVP.

What it is: An end-to-end digital platform for planning, conducting, and reporting Active Travel & Highway Safety scheme assessments — replacing manual spreadsheets, paper forms, and disconnected GIS tools with one collaborative workspace.

Core Scheme Capabilities

1. Scheme Creation & Management

  • Create schemes under client/project hierarchies with assigned assessors, regions, and budgets.
  • Multi-user collaboration: assign multiple assessors per scheme, with comments, status tracking, and audit trails (created/updated timestamps).
  • Centralised dashboard showing every scheme's progress, owner, and state.

2. Route Segmentation & Enrichment

  • Define a scheme's geometry by drawing or importing a route, then automatically split it into analysable segments.
  • One-click AI enrichment pulls in contextual data (road class, speed limits, traffic volume, kerbside activity, surface type, lighting, gradient, etc.) per segment.
  • Built-in walking/cycling route generation for active travel planning.
