Has any non-US citizen here in this group applied for an LMIA-exempt work permit from within the USA (outside Canada)? How long did the processing take?

I am collecting documents for work permit application. The IRCC ask for the employment reference letter as well as the employment records. The information required looks almost identical.
Can we use the same document for both? TIA 🙏

Any ABIM-trained docs working in clinic-based practice in BC?

I’m planning a move to BC and trying to understand how FFS billing actually works there. The Doctors of BC site says:

>“Currently there are no specific FFS or alternative funding structures for ABMS in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics. These physicians can bill consultation and visit fees only from the Family Medicine Payment Schedule. ABMS registrants may also bill non-restricted procedural fees where appropriate.”

So I’m a bit confused about how this works in real life.

• Do we just see referrals and bill them as FP consults?
• And then bill follow-ups as standard FP visits?
• Is this actually workable/sustainable in outpatient IM?
• And what’s a realistic income range for this setup?

Would really appreciate any real-world experience from people doing this in BC. Thank you.
