I've turned in my keys.

I've put in my two weeks resignation. Did I want to? No, With no job lined up in the future? No. Its insane, especially in this economy. However, with the B.S I get hit with, for working, having my schudule go all over the place. An example, a month prior, I used to work Friday nights, usuaally their heavest truck night. Now, the manger, has me work, Thurday nights. I'd come in, and get told by the night lead, that i'm not needed on Thursday night. Can't really argue with the man in charge during that shift. So I would leave, when asked to.

With the genueine poor managagement, I figured, I could possibly find a much better job elsewhere, Lord willing. Or something just less abusive.

Granted, I did call out, a bunch, but all within valid reasons, just have a frail body, diabetic type two. (High sugar, 500+ on average) How you say i'm alive? all God. Only way. Care taking during the day, running errands during the day, then working at night, i'm surpised that I was even able to stay for almost nine months.

Am I looking for a petty party? No. Just informing thoose who do not know.

The job itself is quite easy, just throwing boxes, stocking, etc. However, I noticed at this store, day shift doesn't neat up the asles, they just leave it for night shift. Not sure why this is a theme, i noticed when I rarely would go into my store to buy anything during my off days.

But yes, poor management, toxic co workers. Apprently, its a crime to work at store, not say anything and do your job. And, so, i've given up, just too unwell to continue the abuse. Now of course, if I didn't have a life, I've might've stayed for a few years, but, currently can't keep up.

If you have job suggestions I'd be happy to look into them, but as we speak, after these next two weeks i'll be a free man.

P.S, they've told me that kroger was changing the policy, into the point system, is this true? I was told I would get written up the next time I came in. That was the nail in the coffin.

And yes, I provided doctor's notes, and one time the ASL disregarded them.

How long do you give Kroger?

Not saying I would like to see the Company fail, but the way its going, with corparate, and how they're reducing hours, what's your ETA? I give em five years before they start trying to close down stories etc.

Union rep for nashville division

Hi everyone, i have a problem, you see, one of the stores for this divsion which I work at, hasn't paid me for the shift i did. And I've been contacting HR and the mangers of the store, and all have been giving me a hard time about me getitng paid my Five hours and 20 minute shift.

I recently called the store again, and came acorss a very mean manager, whom, told me he could write me up, on me clocking in early. Now, normally, my shift is from 10pm, to 4, 5 or even 6am. Sometimes 3am. Depends on how they feel. However, that night it was 12am, to six am, and I only clocked in at 10pm, to avoid the drunks. This was on the 3rd of July. 250th annversiery so for my safety, i clocked early.

During my shift, nobody gave me any lip, actually, it was suggested by a night shif apprentice? to leave a note on the desk of one of the mangers, and It will be clocked in for me. I did that, and the note, dissppeared. Anywho, this manager, told me, that, I don't get to decide, weather or not to clock in on this time, now again, when I came in that night, I personally thought someone else fat fingured the time stamp, hence why I came in early. Anyway, nobody at my store currently has the union's number, and I would like to report, to the union about the manger's behavior, rather he's not even a manager, i think he's a new store lead, or he helps the lead, idk. But he's basically told me to go look for a new job, in some sense.

Sorry if all of this is blunt, or quick ridden, but its been about two weeks almost, and still no pay fromt hat shift. Also I work in Alabama

Do you eat where you work?

Context, i've seen some things happen and heard some stories about my store. Because of this, I make it a point to not eat inside of this story, if I do, its extremely rare. Surely, I can't be the only one. Or am I?

Best Kroger Product in your opinion?

Hi again, so I have a question, so working at Kroger, I bought their Kroger brand Chocolate Syrup, and found it to be much better than the Branded Hershey's syrup. With this in mind, what Kroger Product you found, was better than the orginial. Let me know, i'm curious to invest in some off brand stuff. (Water does not count)

Valid Excuse to call out?

I call out, a lot, usually, because i'm actually unwell. There's a new assistant store lead who's been on my ass about it, and so, he doesn't believe i'm actually unwell, and hit me with an unexcused absent. Now, i've been here for about five months now. Any good tips?

Does Kroger actually give food away?

My store throws at a lot of food, sometimes too much, and I remmebered, the hiring HR was like, we give a lot of food away, if so, where is that "Free food" going? Have a lovely weekend, God Bless.

Question.

Hello, I am wondering, if you were the CEO of Kroger, what changes would you make specifically? I currently work at a Kroger, and like most of the other post, its definintely not a great company to work for, but if you had the oppertunity to change something. What would it be. Now, only focus on Kroget, I know they own other companies/brands, but where i'm from thoose brands do not exist here. Thank you kindly, have a lovely day, God bless.
