Lease or Buy Used or Just Buy/Lease Brand New?

Hi,

I’ve never had a Tesla before — I drive a Polestar.

I was definitely impressed with the FSD when I tried it out and I’m considering a Tesla to go on roadtrips for me and my pup — husband suddenly died and unfortunately it’ll just be me driving for a while.

I was considering the GM SuperCruise but I’ve read often that nothing beats Tesla’s FSD.

Given that I have never looked into it until now, any tips or thoughts on what would be best value? I’m ok with the model 3 but I honestly would prefer the Y given the bigger cargo space and I miss having an SUV.

Would you recommend buying outside of Tesla?

Now considering I am considering long trips, I’m wondering if any of you feel buying used is better? I’ve read that depreciation on Tesla’s is high.

I live in NJ so I will drive in snow. I’ve always had AWD but to be honest I’m curious if that’s a big difference over RWD?

Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions

Need advice

I currently lease a Polestar 2 and the lease is ending in 2 months.

I’m looking into getting into a Tesla 3 or Y.

It’s just me and my pup — looking into getting the Tesla after trying out FSD.

They showed me that the Tesla Y L is coming out soon but seems too expensive. Probably don’t need it.

I’m ok with the 3 but I feel having extra cargo space is always a plus.

Just want to get your thoughts if there’s any sort of “issues” with leasing a used Y? I’ve never leased a used car.

My hesitation about buying a used car would be the battery. How expensive is it to change the battery and how does a Tesla’s value hold up? Is there a max number of miles or year I should filter out?

Thank you.
