I’m applying for internship this upcoming cycle and have a list of sites all over the U.S. I’m looking for programs with a strong reputation that primarily offer geropsychology or generalist training, ideally with a neuropsychology rotation.

I’ve already searched the APPIC directory, but it’s hard to tell which sites have the a strong reputations without interviewing or talking to current or former interns. I’m hoping to get a better sense so if you have an idea do you mind sharing?

I’m currently on the West Coast, but I’m open to relocating anywhere.

In a few months I’ll be applying for competitive graduate internships. I need recommendations for career/ interview coaches to help me get better at speaking and navigating interview process. If you know anyone or have any resources, please provide their information.

I need help coming up with an interesting personal statement for internship applications. We’ve been advised to stay away from the typical “Why am I interested in clinical psychology?” essay and instead write about something engaging that shows who we are today. However, with every waking moment dedicated to classes and practicum, I feel like I’ve become a shell of a person and I’m having difficulty thinking of anything interesting to write about. Could you please share some ideas of what you or others have written about to help inspire me?
