Compassionate leave during credit-bearing internship
Hi guys, does anyone know how compassionate leave works during a credit-bearing internship?
My grandparent just passed away overseas and my family needs me to fly over for the funeral/family arrangements. Because of the flight dates, I might miss about a week of internship.
I already told my supervisor and they were thankfully very understanding, but I’m still quite worried because this is a credit-bearing internship. I’m not sure if I need to inform NTU/CAO separately or apply through the internship portal
Does anyone know if missing around a week for bereavement will affect clearing the internship, assuming the company is okay with me making up the missed sessions or extending the internship?
Would really appreciate any advice from anyone who has dealt with this before.
