I bought a vehicle a few days ago on Craigslist for $10,000 the ad said clean title ,awd with different mileage on the ad. ​ I checked the VIN number 2 days later and it turned out that the car was salvage, 2wd, and that the odometer was rolled back 60,000 miles.

He gave me the title to the car but it did not show that it was salvage and the miles were also not on the title. He showed me the proof that the vehicle just got registered this year.

Can I press charges on this person? The only drawback is that I put that I paid $1,000 for the vehicle to avoid paying taxes at the DMV, and I already went to the DMV and told them that I bought it off someone .
