Hi everyone.

I'm interested in the Tax Auditor position or Business Tax Representative for the CDFTA. I live in Orange County and I'd prefer to work nearby. On CalCareers, I don't see any entry-level level positions at the moment but I know they just did a big hiring event in April. Does anyone know if they generally just do one big hiring event in April every year and from there and jobs are only posted when someone leaves or gets promoted?

Hey everyone, just wanted to share an incredibly frustrating experience I’m having with Anker support right now to see if anyone else has dealt with this.

I have an Anker 737 (PowerCore 24K) that completely stopped working out of nowhere. It won't turn on or charge anything unless it is physically plugged into a wall outlet. When it's plugged in, it just performs pass-through charging to my phone, but the second I pull the plug, the whole thing goes completely black.

The crazy part is that it's sitting at 100% battery health and 60 cycle counts.

This thing has lived a completely pampered, low-use life. The cells inside are literally pristine, which means a permanent internal component or motherboard safety fuse failed prematurely on their end.

I escalated the issue to a support supervisor, and they basically hit me with a textbook "system says no" response because the 18-month warranty window expired just 3 months ago. Their only solution was a generic 25% discount code to buy a new one.

I buy Anker because they’re supposed to be the premium, reliable choice for charging tech. Asking a customer to spend more money on a replacement when their original $100+ smart pack became e-waste after less than 15% of its lifespan feels incredibly wrong.
