Noodly buddies first started showing up on Sunday, exactly 2 weeks after S2B, will probably pick a bunch of them later today. I took the largest out already to get a spore print.

I took these guys out of the fridge today. Each have been stored in a sealed (taped-shut) paper bag in the fridge for probably 3 months now. Later today I'll put into a tub. In the close-up pic there's some interesting spread patterns. There is no visible contamination. The dark spots are vermiculite. I had put a fully colonized agar plate into each jar with rye grain. This will be my 2nd tub of ochras. The first tub I did was just 1 jar of grain spawn, and it was made with what what the slowest growing agar plate of the 3 I made from a spore print. The agar plates used for these 2 populated the plates more quickly/aggressively. That, and that I'm putting 2 jars into the tub instead of one have me pretty optimistic that this will turn out well. The first tub was successful, yes, but yield was a little lower than what I had hoped for.
I just transferred two domains to dreamhost. I was led to believe that this would include email. Now they are telling me that email is $19.99 per year additional for each email account.
This seems crazy. Can anyone verify if this is true?
I don't know if it's because they're stronger than the GTs I was making before, or if they have something extra, whatever the case, these Ochras are really great. They really hit fast and hard, and lasted a long time. Also, it's been 3 weeks since I've taken them and my mood and outlook on life has been better than it's been in a long time. This may be what I need to get off SSRIs. I really am pleased with these.
2nd flush of my first Ochras is in the dehydrator now. On the right, a batch I picked last night and stashed in the fridge overnight while the rest matured a bit. I opted to pick all of the rest tonight as I'm leaving town tomorrow for several days. Total on 2nd flush is about 166g wet. All told, 1st and 2nd flush dried should be right about 1 oz... After picking these I did a "punisher" rinse on the cake to clean it up and see what the future brings. I'll set up a camera and watch remotely, and have my spouse pick if necessary while I'm gone.

S2B on 04/19 = Just over 2 weeks ago.... Ochras... These 3 blobs showed up prob a week ago and have been growing (down arrows point to blobs, right-arrow points to pins). I just noticed the tiny pins in the upper right corner and it looks like there are more elsewhere.
Is this normal? Or something odd but good?
