Pizza to the Rescue

I finally decided to try cooking pizza in one of my CI pans. It was a basic recipe I found online, store bought dough, and oven at 550 for roughly 20mins. I put a few glug glugs of EVOO in the pan, dropped room temp dough in, spread it out and added toppings. Although the crust got a little darker than desired it was incredible. The really neat part is how amazing my pan looked after removing the pizza. The pan now has a beautiful sheen, and very even colour. I think if you’re having some cleaning/seasoning issues maybe cook a pizza in it and see if that sorts it out. Just 2 cents from a newbie cast iron guy.

Have Fun!

A post I just read 5 minutes ago, definitely quality advice.

“One of the traders I work with recently mentioned a few times in group coaching calls that he feels like he’s finally having fun.

I took a moment to really highlight that comment to the group and I wanted to share it here as well.

Trading can be incredibly stressful and if you’re not careful, this business can start to feel like one long test of your patience and self-worth.

I think it’s incredibly important to find a style of trading you actually enjoy. Not the style someone else told you is best, or the setup that looks the coolest online, or the system another trader is using just because it works for them. The style that fits you. One that feels fun to you. That is how we create longevity in this industry.

If fun for you is trading higher time frames, waiting patiently, and letting a bigger setup come to you, do that. If fun for you is momentum trading, being active in the first 5-10 minutes, and making quick decisions, do that. Neither path is better, they are just different.

The problem for most traders starts when they force themselves into a path that does not fit their personality, nervous system, schedule, or strengths. This job is already taxing enough and you are going to have stressful days. So don’t make it harder by building a system you hate.

Choose fun and remember to have it whenever you can.”
