10U pitcher offseason/months off

My son pitched for the first time in the Fall after turning 9 in the summer. He did great! But wondering what to do or not do between Fall and Spring.

I have seen two schools of thought: (1) take several months off and do other sports, (2) keep pitching and keep the momentum going, maybe only a few weeks off.

What is the right offszn approach…any recommendations? My kid loves to pitch and would do whatever/asks to keep throwing.

Under Canvas West Yellowstone and bad weather

Apologies ahead for the visitor/noob question. My wife and I and our 3 young kids have a 2 day reservation at “Under Canvas” (a wife selected glamping experience) in West Yellowstone Sat-Mon. It looks like though the weather will be horrific (mid 30s and rain at night).

Anyone here have any experience? Do we tough it out? It was 2Gs and they won’t refund us. We can get another Airbnb cabin it looks like for about 1300 and just be double reserved.

Obviously I don’t like to sling money around like that, but I don’t want my kids to be miserable either. It looks like the kids tents will have no form of heat.
