Hi,

Looking for some help/advice on my home mesh WiFi system because I'm not particularly clued up on it.

I have a Linksys mesh WiFi system which currently is operating a 2.4 and 5 GHz under the same SSID. My understanding is that this means that it is just sending both bands out and each device decides which is best to connect to, is that correct?

I have a device which I want to make sure connects to the 2.4 GHz network. Under the Linksys app, within devices it indicates that this device is connected to the 2.4 GHz network, but I have a sense that it is having connection issues. My question is, will splitting out the band's, so that this device has its own SSID for a 2.4 GHz band (with majority of other devices on a separate 5ghz SSID network), help with the connectivity for this device or will it make no difference given that the Linksys app says it is using the 2.4ghz band?

Recently got an EV and hypervolt home 3 pro. Hoping someone can explain why the following might have happened to our car charging last night

This is only the 3rd time we have tried charging the car:

1st charge - had issues and posted a query on this group about, but I think I know the reason why I had issues. I believe a boost schedule was preventing octopus from doing it's thing

2nd charge - worked perfectly. Octopus scheduled a charge, got pushed to hypervolt and everything seemed to sync up great (although the schedules did seem to be adjusted by octopus a few times)

3rd charge - plugged in last night at 29%. Requested octopus to add 51% charge to get to 80%. Octopus scheduled as before and pushed it to hypervolt. But wake up this morning and the car has only charged to 41%. Octopus notification on phone said something along the lines of unable to connect to car (I think it said this can't quite remember tbh).

Anyone know why would this have happened? I was feeling confident with the car charging after the 2nd charge went perfectly, but now I'm starting feel already frustrated that this charging is not reliable, through no fault of my own. Luckily the car has enough charge to do my commute to and from work today but I would be screwed if I had plugged it in on a lower starting charge or if it hadn't charged at all overnight

Something I have noticed so far is that octopus changes round it's scheduled charges a few times from the initial ones proposed. For example on the 2nd charge it started with saying charge 22:00-22:30, 22:30-23:00, 23:00-06:00 then changed to something like 21:30-22:00, 22:00-22:30, 22:30-06:00. Any idea why it does this? I'm wondering whether these changes keep confusing the hypervolt charger, especially if it's mid charge when one of those updates happens.

Any advice on the above would be most appreciated

Hi all,

Went to do my first charge last night and it didn't go as planned. I have a Skoda enyaq 85. Connected the car up etc through octopus and was showing in hypervolt as being controlled by octopus. The car was at about 20% when plugged in and through octopus we set it to finish at 07:00 and add 65% (wanted to test putting car charge above 80% to see whether the car internal system, which limits to 80% would kick in)

Before going to bed we tested a boost charge through octopus to test everything was ok. Started charging fine so then tried to stop the boost charge through octopus but nothing seemed to happen. Went to hypervolt app and paused it there but the problem was this boost session was now there and would not go away. I have a feeling this session stopped iog from kicking in overnight, does this sound like the issue?

Did I do something else wrong?

What should the hypervolt app look like when iog is scheduling a charge / wanting to charge?

Any help with this is much appreciated. Thank you
