Should I take apart my pro controller to clean it?
Hi so i tried to clean the left stick with a lead pencil and a dry wipe but the lead poked through it and now its just in there. It's pretty dusty inside and I'm not sure what to do about it. There's a squeak in the left stick that's driving me crazy which I've read can be caused by build up 😭 at this point should I take it apart to clean it or is that stupid for me to do as someone who's never done that before. I have another pro controller that I stopped using because of the drift but I kept it in case I could ever fix it. Any recommendations/tips or just flat out "don't do it" would be great. The controller still works but keeping the lead in there concerns me. I can't afford to get a professional to see it currently.
Im not sure if this falls under IT help but I followed the rules accordingly under the assumption it does. I'm new to this kind stuff so sorry if I sound dumb. I used the dry wipe on it after reading on a few pages that it worked for them, my mistake was obviously using a lead pencil. 😭
