Has anyone had a similar case?
I’m married to a U.S. permanent resident (green card holder), and my I-130 has already been approved. I was recently scheduled for my I-485 adjustment of status interview.
My concern is that I currently don’t have lawful status. I entered the U.S. through the border and was granted 212(d)(5) parole, but that has already expired.
I’m really nervous about attending the interview because I know that, when adjusting through a permanent resident spouse, maintaining lawful status is often an issue. I’m afraid my I-485 could be denied or that attending the interview could put me at risk.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? If so, what happened in your case?
