Yall there’s a Quest 3s going for 160€ with a case and link cable where I live, do I just give up?
I can’t stand the wait anymore fuck, the Frame was supposed to be my first headset but there’s nothing holding me back anymore.

Hi y’all!
I turned 18 last week, which finally allows me to get a headset as my mom finally permits it. VR has been a major interest of mine for the past 6 years, and thus I was really hyped to see that the Frame release window lined up perfectly with my 18th birthday.
However, now that nothing is stopping me from getting my hands on a Quest, I’m also considering that. I’ve used a couple Quest 2 and 3 headsets over the years at friend’s houses and such, and they’ve all been decent experiences, outside of setting up PCVR which has always been pretty annoying. This is the main thing I plan on doing when I get my hands on a headset though, as I have a very good setup (mobile RTX 4080 + 13th gen i7 + 32gigs of DDR5) that can clearely handle heavier titles. I can also get my hands on used Quest 3ses for abt 200€ and used Quest 3 headsets for roughly 300€, whereas the Frame will probably be around 600-800€.
Because of that use case and of its cheap price, the PSVR2 is also an interesting option to me, but the wired setup seems pesky to me, especially because my play space is quite limited. I’ve heard the Linux compat is quite finicky as well.
Even considering all, the Frame still seems like the perfect option to me : it’s more recent, better spec’d, offers a great wireless PCVR experience thanks to the dongle, and is more open-ended which is a great thing because I’m now on Linux (although I still have access to my Windows session). I’m just afraid that its more expencive price will not be worth it given I can do most of the things I wanna do with it using a Quest 3, just a tad bit worse. I’m also not disinterested in standalone VR (so far something the Quest is better at), but the prospect of playing my flat Steam library on a giant screen seems pretty cool as well. I’m also VERY impatient and can’t wait anymore lmao
What’s your take on this? Should I wait or bite the bullet at a cheaper price?
