My questions are, can I plant this broccoli deeper into the soil to make it less stretchy (Mixed answers online) or should I just save the root ball and repot for the winter and just have it hang off the side of the pot? Also can someone explain why this plant and the few other broccoli’s decided to shoot away from the sunlight as opposed to towards it like other types of plants? If anyone has a better idea I’d be open to those too, thanks :)

Planted a bunch of cayenne and Thai chilli plants last year but all but one was riddled with aphids. This surviving plant had 4 flowers last year through the winter but I didn’t help pollinate it (oops) so they all dropped off. This year it is flowering non stop so I’m happy with that haha
