Conductors as Prison Wardens

As semi frequent Metro North user, recently many MN conductors have been barking orders about showing tickets and removing bags off seats. Is this the new normal? I get having rules but there’s a nice way about going things and a not nice way, and for the price we pay (especially after the recent price increase) it costs $0 to politely inform others and not be treated as inmates. Meanwhile I’ve taken a few NER Amtrak trips where the conductors are nice as can be.

Upcoming Green Line Suspension Question

I see specifically on August 8-August 16 a good chunk of the green line will be suspended. Is this the NYC subway type suspension where it’s done late nights/on weekends or is this the third world method where it’s completely shut down 24/7 on those dates?

“Abandoned by the American People”

Play some extremist routes and routinely get this ending, which isn’t a thing. President either resigns, cabinet forces 25th amendment, congress impeaches, or President dies/is killed. The “abandoned by the American people” only applies to elections.
