I was thinking today, CanadaPost currently delivers so many of Amazon’s packages. Could CanadaPost not just form an alternative to Amazon and instead of just mailing products for them, just become them instead?

It would be awesome as an alternative to having to give money to an American company, plus it would save us all money if it were a non-profit. I feel like Amazon is essentially just a utility, and making it public would be far more sensible.

I know section 4 is typically for applications like a route through your mom’s line, and other cases of historical unfairness. Are the case studies the only route you can apply through, or if you think you have a specific case - do they allow for that? If so, what sort of application is expected for them? A lawyer’s submission? Or just whatever fits in the text box of the application form? Do I attach an evidenced essay? 😂

Has anyone else successfully gone through this route with a non-traditional case? If so, what was the burden of proof necessary? Or is it more a case where you submit, get rejected, and it’s worked through the courts with a lawyer where it then becomes a new precedent type?
