Easy and a ffordable way for my grandparents to feed/incorporate fresh food

Hi! My grandparents just adopted a new dog and are very interested in feeding her raw, or the healthiest diet that’s accessible to them.

They’ve always fed cheaper grocery store kibble and have noticed their dogs have had health issues and allergies. They think feeding a healthier diet will help prevent a lot of these issues with their new dog, and they know I feed my pets raw and even my senior dog is in great shape.

They are in their 80s and my grandma in particular has been having some medical concerns and has an early dementia diagnosis. They do not have a lot of money. I know they can’t afford to feed the brands I feed my pets.

I’m also not sure if they’d be able to do homemade and make it balanced themselves. I’m really interested in finding a good meal completer that they could mix in to gently cooked ground meat, or some other affordable and easy option for them to feed their dog fresh food. Is this realistic?

How to know if laptop will run a game?

Hi! I’m looking into buying a refurbished laptop and want to play Horses of Hoofprint Bay when it comes out.

I’m having trouble figuring out which laptops will run which games/programs.

Horses of Hoofprint Bay says it needs this kind of processor:
x86, x64 architecture with SSE2 instruction set support, Arm64

I’m looking at Dells and the processor options they have are core i5 and core i7.

So will they not run the game? Which laptops should I look at that WILL run this game? I’m hoping to spend under $400 either new or refurbished.

I don’t know anything about computers, my current laptop is 15 years old and has Windows 7 so all I know is that it’s way too outdated.

Also is 16GB RAM good? A lot of the ones I’m seeing in my price range have that much RAM.

Starting Lessons as an Adult: What Should I Know and Ask Potential Instructors About?

Hi! I’m in my 30s and thinking about starting riding lessons.

I have some experience: I took lessons and competed in hunter jumper as a kid (2 decades ago!), volunteer with horses now (but don’t ride them and I want to get more comfortable and knowledgeable with my general handling skills), and have gone on a trail ride here and there over the years.

I remember the barn I rode at as a kid, one instructor was very kind and patient with both the riders and the horses. The other was much more intimidating to me as a student, and also yelled at and hit the horses a lot. I remember other kids I rode with would do the same. The worst was this horse who had awful allergies and always had hives, and was always coughing and wheezing. He started coughing during a lesson and the girl who was on him started whacking him with the crop for something he couldn’t control. I’d really like to avoid barns with a culture like that. That’s probably my biggest worry.

I’m also looking for general advice and things to ask or look out for with different instructors and programs as an adult who wants to get back into riding.

Thank you so much!

(10-15k) Etiquette for Asking Friends to Provide Photography Services?

Hello! My fiancé and I are getting married next summer and are in the planning phase. We would love to keep the wedding under 10k and we’re thinking our budget is 15k at the very most.

We have two friends who do live music photography and have taken pictures for our band. Their concert photos come out great but I don’t think either has done something like a wedding before.

We’d like to ask them both so that during the reception they could take turns and both be able to enjoy the party as friends/guests as well. I don’t really care if they have different styles- it would probably be cool to get photos in a couple of different styles anyways!

1) Is that a good idea, to have a couple friends tag teaming it so they could also enjoy the wedding as guests too?

We think the wedding party and ceremony photos earlier in the day would be more important than the reception, but we would like some of the reception.

2) What is the etiquette for asking them to do this? Should I tell them our budget for the photos upfront or ask them what their rate would be first? Anything else I should mention or know about asking them? I also don’t want them to feel pressured either way!

3) Would appreciate other ideas and advice for affordable photography. We don’t have any art schools near us but have a couple state colleges and could see if they have photography students who may be interested? I’m not really sure how else to find someone with less experience who would be willing to work with a budget.

Thank you!
