To the guy that said his line went from saying "potatoes dauphinoise" to evolving into chaotic dolphin noises. I still think about that comment. And it makes me giggle every time i remember it

Thank you for commenting on that post god knows how long ago. That whole thread was full of golden kitchen fuckery stories, but that one stuck with me.

These stories are what make us stick with it. If we can get some silliness into the day, it makes the grind just a bit easier.

So thanks for the laughs

Advice needed for balancing cost vs income for a bakery business starting at farmers markets

For the last 6 years ive been developing a business idea and a few years ago i did 2 test days at markets so i have an estimate of sales off those days.

Since then ive bought a townhouse and had 2 kids while working in a commercial kitchen. Im currently on maternity leave and i go back to work next month.

Me and my husband have been trying to crunch the numbers for if its more worth me going back to work full time or officially starting this business and working markets 1-2 days a week and save money on childcare.

My brain is turning to soup trying to crunch the numbers - especially how to calculate the unknown tax costs and deductions. Could someone help me with the math and tell me if my calculations are right?

Cafe roma started making this noise recently and experiencing pressure loss. Cleaned everything, took it apart and replaced a zip tie on an upper tube thinking it would help and its still making this noise. Any ideas? Its 7 years old. Is it cooked or can it be fixed?
