I heard a woman screaming in a parking garage....
I had an experience yesterday that was unnerving. I was coming back to my car after a lunch. I'm about to get in my car when I hear a hysterical scream - a very high-pitched and alarming female scream.
My murderino instincts immediately kick in. I'm on high alert and wondering... is a woman being attacked right now? Robbed? Abducted!?! The scream comes again, almost the same way. It's broad daylight and the parking garage is full of cars, but we all know that doesn't necessarily mean something couldn't happen.
I get in my car, lock the doors, and circle the garage for several minutes. I don't hear it again and don't see anything suspicious. So I go to the garage exit. Then comes the scream, and now it's really consistent and out of control. I'm getting scared - I'm ready to call the police at this point. Then I notice the car in front of me is visibly shaking, and the screams are coming from that car.
I roll down my window slightly and can hear the screaming woman say, "I know MOM! *screams* BUT IT'S NOT F*CKING WORKING!! I CAN'T PAY FOR MY TICKET. And SOMEONE is behind me!!!!! *screams*" This is at ear-piercing volume and she's obviously talking on the phone. I'm the one behind her now, so I try to back up. She starts backing up fast and erratically. Almost smashes into my car several times. Finally, she has enough room to get out of the exit lane and zooms away like a maniac.
Goodness, it was something else! I honestly thought she was being murdered the way she was yelling and screaming. I'm very glad she wasn't. But sheesh...some people are bonkers! So gals, stay sexy and watch out for unhinged drivers.
