Questions of a Beginner
Is it best to learn Egyptian belly dance first over fusion as a beginner? I just signed up for a class focusing on Egyptian belly dance. I really wanted to master the basics and go to the "root" so to speak before going into fusion or other forms.
Is it common to repeat level 1 or beginner classes before moving into more advanced? They advised that I repeat level 1. How many times? Twice? Three times?
I would love to do back bends one day. Should I consider pilates, strength training alongside belly dancing? I am curious if certain styles would benefit fro. more muscle tone, core strength etc than others in terms of being able to do it safely and smoothly.
