Why would Herro come off the bench?

He's a former All-Star on an expiring contract. If the Bucks weren't planning to give him a major role and showcase him, wouldn't they have tried to reroute him already?

Tyler Herro’s underrated impact on Wisconsin youth basketball

With all the talk about Herro’s fit and contract, I think one cool part of him coming home to the Bucks is his impact on Wisconsin hoops.

Team Herro has grown into a legit Nike EYBL program, giving local prospects better exposure and a real platform. Kon Knueppel came through it before becoming a first-round pick, along with quite a few other Division I players. For a state that doesn’t always get the same AAU spotlight as bigger markets, it actually matters.

Local kid who made it, putting resources back into the community. It’s a nice story regardless of where people land on him as a player.
