Hello, my wife forgot to declare some foreign income on her 2025 tax return, and we would like to correct it now.

If she submits the correction through “Change My Return” in her CRA My Account, will CRA issue a Notice of Reassessment (NOR) automatically, similar to how a normal tax return is assessed? Or does a correction involving foreign income typically have to go through a review first before a new NOR is issued?

The amount of foreign income is relatively small (around CAD 10,000), and approximately CAD 2,800 in foreign tax was paid on that income.

For anyone who has done something similar, how long did it take for CRA to process the change and issue the new NOR?
