An appeal to Behaviour: Negotiating the Hellraiser (Pinhead) license is a win-win. We need an update!
Hi everyone,
I’m writing this post hoping it catches the attention of Behaviour’s Community Managers, because I truly believe the situation regarding the removal of the Hellraiser chapter deserves some serious thought.
Ever since Pinhead was removed from the store, it left a massive void in the game. Personally, I took a break from the game for a few years, and upon coming back, I bought every single killer I missed. Except for Pinhead. I absolutely love him, and he would easily be one of my main killers.
On top of that, DbD has always proudly been the "Museum of Horror." Seeing a cinematic icon like the Cenobite—with his unique box mechanic and iconic voice lines—locked away in a digital vault is a real shame for the game’s history.
To make matters worse, the remaining PC keys for the Hellraiser DLC are currently being scalped on third-party websites for absurd prices, ranging from €800 to €1,000! There is a huge wave of players (especially newcomers and returning ones like me) who are desperate to buy him. All of this money is ending up in the pockets of scalpers, when it could be going directly to Behaviour and the movie's license holders.
We’ve already seen that no license is truly impossible to recover or secure if the community pushes hard enough. If BHVR managed to bring back the Demogorgon and pulled off a miracle with Friday the 13th, they can absolutely do it with Hellraiser too. Sure, there’s a new Hellraiser game coming out, but it's a single-player experience! It won't compete with DbD.
Please, give us some information, let us know something. Are you guys interested in bringing him back? Are you working on it? Give us an update!
